We had the good fortune of connecting with Sally Velazquez and we’ve shared our conversation below.
What should our readers know about your business?
I love being a business manager. Being able to see the impact I make every day for things we do for my clients is so gratifying. I am grateful to be working with smart, successful, and creative individuals. I learned early that work doesn’t feel like work when you enjoy what you do and who you work with. My best advise for anyone is to strive to love what you do, and not just do anything for a paycheck.
Any places to eat or things to do that you can share with our readers? If they have a friend visiting town, what are some spots they could take them to?
One of my go-to places for a lovely night out for dinner is Yamashiro. Yamashiro is a great restaurant located in the Hollywood Hills with an amazing view of the city, beautiful ambiance, and delicious food. Before dinner, I take people to the Grove to enjoy a bit of shopping and people watching. If we have time, I go to Malibu wines for a fun filled day of wine tasting and listening to live music.
Shoutout is all about shouting out others who you feel deserve additional recognition and exposure. Who would you like to shoutout?
I would love to shout out Ebone Smith, who created a nonprofit called We Are R.I.S.E. Org. This organization empowers elementary to middle school aged girls of color through equipping them with social emotional and developmental skills they can use in their everyday lives. She is fully passionate about giving back to her community and is an inspiration of mine.
