Meet Clear Mortifee | Singer, Coach & Medium

We had the good fortune of connecting with Clear Mortifee and we’ve shared our conversation below.
Hi Clear, what role has risk played in your life or career?
Along my journey, I’ve made a habit of making choices in favor of my greater vision, instead of prioritizing my fears of failure. I’ve learned that every L is a lesson, every lesson is an insight, and every insight is an asset.
I now seek out risks to the point where I no longer see them as risks, but as empowering next steps. On the other side of these courageous steps inevitably lies the next levels of my success.

Can you open up a bit about your work and career? We’re big fans and we’d love for our community to learn more about your work.
I’ve been a performing artist for most of my life, and have been singing my original songs for over a decade. I’m also an energy medium + ancient futurist, working to bridge emergent computer technologies with the metaphysical technologies of the Heart. Along the way I’ve learnt the value of being my True Self – speaking my mind, and creating my own way.
My career has blossomed since I came out as a trans man, and I trust it will only continue to as I become more and more grounded in this new space.
The more myself I am, the more energy I have freed up to be convicted in my choices; creative and otherwise. Massive asset – to not be underestimated.
Let’s say your best friend was visiting the area and you wanted to show them the best time ever. Where would you take them? Give us a little itinerary – say it was a week long trip, where would you eat, drink, visit, hang out, etc.
I’m born and raised in Vancouver, Canada and have just moved back here after 7 years away. It’s so grounding to be home!
If my friends were visiting me on these beautiful Musqueam, Squamish, and Tsleil-Waututh lands, first thing I’d do is take them to the ocean-side. Probably English Bay, where the forest, city, mountains and sea converge. We’d eat at Legendary Noodle on Denman. The name says it.
On the weekend I’d take them to Eastside Studios, where all the biggest and queerest events in the city happen every Friday + Saturday. I love seeing so many types of people up on one stage, esp so many gorgeous trans ppl.
Then Sunday we’d drive the Sea to Sky highway, go glacier-gazing, and hit North Van to hug some ancient evergreens. Saved the best for last.

The Shoutout series is all about recognizing that our success and where we are in life is at least somewhat thanks to the efforts, support, mentorship, love and encouragement of others. So is there someone that you want to dedicate your shoutout to?
I’d like to shoutout the Pleiadians for helping me understand who I’m becoming and where I’m from. I’d like to shoutout Black trans women for paving the road to my liberation as a non-binary trans man.
I’d like to shoutout Karly + Faby for being my cheerleaders and companions!
And shoutout my higher Self for choosing to come to Earth rn and shine.
