Meet Jack Louii | Hair Artist

We had the good fortune of connecting with Jack Louii and we’ve shared our conversation below.

Hi Jack, what role has risk played in your life or career?
I love taking risks. Once I learned to accept failure even after hours and hours of hard work I soon realized that risk taking was the easiest part of winning. Throughout my career every step has been a risk. And without those steps I truly believe I wouldn’t be able to stand where I do today in my industry. As an entrepreneur I believe we all must accept that taking risks is just a part of our journey in order to create the bigger picture.

Can you open up a bit about your work and career? We’re big fans and we’d love for our community to learn more about your work.
My medium of art is hair. Hair is how I express my creativity. The artistic side of the industry is what really brings my drive up to become greater and greater. I think the toughest part of trying to strive in the industry was staying consistent. From cutting to making content to creative projects within hair everything came down to how consistently I was able to push. Soon enough I realized results will only show through consistent actions.

Who else deserves some credit and recognition?
My shoutout goes out to the ones who believed in my art and helped me push throughout my career. My loving parents and all my hair mentors. My parents have always believed in my drive since I was a kid and that’s what really impacted my creative freedom. Dropping out of school wasn’t the easiest decision growing up in an immigrant family where education always came first. Without the support of my parents putting full trust in me none of my visions would have came to life. 3 notable hair artists are Alex, Julius, & Renj. All three have been a huge push in my career. Being able to work aside such talented individuals really allowed me to raise my bar higher & higher each time.
