Meet Lydia Luna, PhD | Clinical Psychologist & Founder of the Moon Collective Sanctuary

We had the good fortune of connecting with Lydia Luna, PhD and we’ve shared our conversation below.
Hi Lydia, what do you want your legacy to be?
That’s such a great question and one that helps guide us to be more intentional in our everyday lives. I want my legacy to be that I was a conduit for healing and transformation. I’d be honored to be remembered as someone who offered wisdom, knowledge and exemplified resilience. I’ve navigated some exceptionally difficult life experiences and now dedicate my life to helping others through theirs. My greatest joy is facilitating others to remember who they are in their truest essence – creative energetic beings with the ability to experience the life they desire. By raising consciousness, we transform suffering into wisdom, strength and freedom.
My purpose is to remind humanity that we are essentially all one, and by healing ourselves we are healing the collective. It’s a perfect circle – by healing the collective, we heal ourselves. The more we understand there is no division, the more caring and compassionate we are towards one another. This elevates our collective energy field so that we may all have a more harmonious life experience.
As a psychologist, and through my work with The Moon Collective Sanctuary, we offer a safe space for people to attend to their wounds, connect to the inner and outer world and transform pain or trauma into personal revelations and growth.

Can you give our readers an introduction to your business? Maybe you can share a bit about what you do and what sets you apart from others?
Selected questions: What are the lessons you’ve learned along the way. What do you want the world to know about you or your brand and story?—- see comment above for this section
The best way to tell my story is to share the lessons I’ve learned in navigating the human experience.
1. Live as if this is a dream. Do what you love with those you love. Take risks, be courageous, have fun, don’t take things too seriously, enjoy the good and remember that nothing is permanent.
2. Trust that everything is working in your favor, for your highest good, and the good of the collective. Although you may not be able to see where it leads, embrace what comes your way knowing you’ll be taken care of and will be better than before.
3. Recognize that you create your own reality. You have access to infinite wisdom and potential and the key is to be intentional about what you want – and ask for it! Speak your desire out loud or write it to bring it into consciousness; bring it into form, ignite energy around it and generate momentum. Action is needed to keep it in motion, practice gratitude and live as if you’re already there. Be patient and enjoy watching your desire become reality.
By harnessing the infinite abundance available to us all, we transcend the lower vibrational mindset of scarcity and believing only what we see. Understand life’s seasons – there is a time for planting seeds and harvesting, and for death and rebirth. You can lift the veil to access a source of limitless support and guidance by tuning into yourself, and essentially your higher Self. If this seems too challenging or unattainable, seek support from those who have already learned these lessons. We aren’t meant to deal with life’s challenges alone; we’re social beings and we need to surround ourselves with helpful hearts.
I understand what it’s like to have dark nights of the soul; I have firsthand knowledge of how to get through it. To share the lessons I’ve learned, I responded to a calling to create The Moon Collective Sanctuary as a haven for those seeking to have a meaningful, rich and satisfying journey. Our sanctuary is a refuge where people give, receive, and deeply experience the power that comes from being part of an authentic collective. At each gathering, the energy frequency is so high that it feels as if we’ve tapped into a vortex of pure love and gratitude. I hope you’ll join me at The Moon Collective Sanctuary whenever you feel called to heal your soul and expand your consciousness.

If you had a friend visiting you, what are some of the local spots you’d want to take them around to?
I adore treating my friends to the many wonderful experiences Malibu offers. I love being by the water or in nature, and I also love brunch. Malibu is the perfect place to enjoy all three! We could have a late brunch at Geoffrey’s and then spend some time on the beach to enjoy the water and sun. Or we could have a delicious brunch at one of the lovely restaurants in Pacific Palisades with some shopping in the quaint Palisades Village.
For my adventurous friends, I’d suggest a hike in Malibu and enjoy the ruins and waterfall on Solstice Canyon Trail. There’s a cute bookstore next to Inn at the Seventh Ray called Spiral Staircase off Topanga Canyon where I can always find something magical that speaks to my soul. For dinner, we could go to Fia in Santa Monica with its beautiful ambiance and delicious food. I’d make sure to take friends to the Getty Villa or Getty Museum to enjoy the art and stunning architecture and gardens.
At the top of our itinerary would be a single-day retreat at The Moon Collective Sanctuary to experience a transformative day of Self-Care and Soul-Care. We’d enjoy some heart-opening Cacao, Breathwork, Sound Bath and Soul Discussion in tranquil Thousand Oaks, a must to complete any amazing and memorable visit.

The Shoutout series is all about recognizing that our success and where we are in life is at least somewhat thanks to the efforts, support, mentorship, love and encouragement of others. So is there someone that you want to dedicate your shoutout to?
I want to shoutout my family and close friends – my true sources of inspiration. They love, accept and support me through my many transformations. They are my soul mates who continually motivate me to do better. I’ve been taught many lessons about unconditional love, authenticity, humility, loyalty and acceptance. My family is a trusted community that envelops me in love through good and difficult times. My close friends have been compassionate witnesses and mirrors through many life-changing events. They always show up in the darkest hours. We challenge each other and share joy in life’s many blessings. My friends are my strength when I feel discouraged or need sound advice. I am so blessed to have them in my life and can’t imagine existing without them.
