Meet Jessica Guzikowski | Small Business Coach & Co-Owner of Frenchie Coffee Roasters

We had the good fortune of connecting with Jessica Guzikowski and we’ve shared our conversation below.
Hi Jessica, what was your thought process behind starting your own business?
As a longtime entrepreneur, I’ve learned a lot of important (and hard) lessons along the way. Being able to combine my business knowledge with ten plus years of people management by supporting small business owners with coaching was an absolute no brainer. Small business ownership can be lonely and I love being able to remind people that they aren’t alone and that they should keep going.

What should our readers know about your business?
My coaching business is unique because I specifically work to provide support for small business owners who are doing most things on their own. Many of my clients have small children at home and are in a constant fight to balance, quite literally, all the things. When we work together, the goal is always to create sales systems that ensure you make a profit & take a paycheck without constantly feeling overwhelmed.
Building any business comes with it’s challenges and this one is no exception. Every time I work with a client who sees results and is positively impacted, I’m encouraged to keep going. I’ve learned that my greatest joy in business is to help clients push past the feeling that nothing is ever going to work and arrive on the other side with a paycheck and a purpose.

Any places to eat or things to do that you can share with our readers? If they have a friend visiting town, what are some spots they could take them to?
Oooh, this is a fun one! I live in Port Orchard, Washington and it’s a really sweet little town with lots of small businesses to support.
Here’s a little rundown of all the places I’d take my bestie…
Eats: Whiskey Gulch Coffeepub, Carter’s Chocolates & Cosmos Ristorante
Shopping: Hippie Witch Skincare, Gigi’s Emporium & Josephine’s Mercantile
Treat Yo’ Self: Get a massage at Salt & Sage Massage.
More Fun: Take in a play at Western Washington Center for the Arts.

Who else deserves some credit and recognition?
I”d like to dedicate this shout out to every single team member I worked with at my first corporate job. I stayed with that company for 12 years and learned so much from each person there. That job gave me the confidence to kindly deliver difficult feedback, develop education programs, effectively speak in front of large crowds and stand firm in my convictions as both a person and a business owner.
