To pivot or to persevere? Or more bluntly – to give up or to not to give up? This is a haunting question, a question that has ramifications far after an answer has been chosen and it’s also a question that almost everyone in our community has had to face at one time or another. How do you know when to give up and when to keep trying?

I try hard not to mix those two together, especially on difficult days where my day job and time seem to elude me. Its easy to lose sight of why you keep going and focus on why you want to give up. So I take a step back and remember why my hobby turned into a passion and how I made a conscious decision to keep going because I love being a baker and treat maker alot more than the thought of giving up. I also have a natural knack for this and so far the amazing outcome definitely outweighs the nothingness I would get from giving up. This question has so many layers to it and for many of them I believe my short answer is to always keep going. There are things in life that will come and go themselves but the one thing someone can always hold onto is taking another step and moving forward. More than a few times in my career I have sat down asking myself if I should give up and walk away.
