Meet Ken Arutyunyan | Psycho Therapist

We had the good fortune of connecting with Ken Arutyunyan and we’ve shared our conversation below.
Hi Ken, can you talk to us a bit about the social impact of your business?
The city of Los Angeles and all through California has been battling a drug epidemic for many years and the crisis continues to destroy and end lives on a daily basis. The drug epidemic in Los Angeles has become wide spread and highly dangerous especially after the Covid 19 pandemic.
I began Psyche Me Los Angeles to help provide therapy to those in need and struggling with mental health issues including addictions.
Helping individuals overcome mental health issues such as addictions, anxiety, and depression led me to team up with board certified neurologist Grigor M Harutunian, M.D. to develop the Neuro Healing Treatment Center where individuals can go through the detox process with the support and care of an amazing staff. Currently, the center is in development and will include Neuro therapy, individual plans to focus on the addiction and the complex factors for each resident. The center will also include a spa, physical therapy, yoga, and personal gym to tackle the addiction by improving the mental and physical state of the individual while tracking daily progress.
We are extremely poised and excited to help the fight against addiction in Los Angeles and add a positive impact to their lives as well as their families since drug addiction affects people in multiple ways.
Can you give our readers an introduction to your business? Maybe you can share a bit about what you do and what sets you apart from others?
The Neuro Healing Treatment Center will provide a new type of neuro-therapy that will help individuals with the battle with drugs and addiction. While staying at the center, we will be providing many different forms of therapy including 1:1 therapy, group therapy, and personal individualized plans with our neurologist that can help focus on various factors causing the addictive behaviors.
The Neuro Healing Treatment Center will also include a private chef, pool and spa for relaxation and a new approach to the physical aspect of healing such as meditation, yoga classes, fitness, and weekly visits from a physical therapy center to tackle all sides of the addiction. We are hoping the center is up and running at the start of the 2024 year.
Any places to eat or things to do that you can share with our readers? If they have a friend visiting town, what are some spots they could take them to?
When visiting Los Angeles there are so many different activities but in my opinion, our beaches would be my first recommendation. Taking the day to head to Malibu or Manhattan beach is my favorite activity in Los Angeles. You can start your day with relaxing on the sand by the ocean followed by a bike ride or hike to see the amazing views from the top. Next, you can take boat rides out of Marina Del Rey and spend the day in the middle of the Ocean. Being around water brings you a type of balance and relaxation that is like no other and an amazing form of self-therapy.
Shoutout is all about shouting out others who you feel deserve additional recognition and exposure. Who would you like to shoutout?
There are a few people who have played a major role in the success of my story starting with my mentor Dr. Howard Chudler who took me under his supervision right out of UCLA and helped me become the therapist I am today. Dr. Chudler showed me there are different approaches to each individual that doesn’t have to follow the protocols we learned in school and to find my own technique when helping others in their darkest times.
Second is my family and my older brother who paved the way growing up. Seeing my older brother succeed through medical school and his career inspired me to follow in his foot steps. Being raised by a loving and caring family fueled me to utilize that to help others in my journey.
