Any places to eat or things to do that you can share with our readers? If they have a friend visiting town, what are some spots they could take them to?
It’s always a joy to introduce a friend to the many wonders Southern California offers. From the opulence of Beverly Hills, the beach beauty of Laguna Beach, to the vibrant nightlife in Downtown San Diego, there’s no shortage of experiences to be had.

Day 1-3: Beverly Hills

We’d start in Beverly Hills. We would first stop at Rodeo Drive, one of the world’s most exclusive luxury destinations, showcasing an array of boutique and designer shops. It’s not just shopping, it’s an experience, and even if you’re not buying, window shopping can be just as fun.

We would have lunch at the iconic Beverly Hills Hotel, dining at the Polo Lounge. In the evening, we might enjoy a drink at the rooftop bar of the Waldorf Astoria, offering panoramic views of the city.

The next day, we’d take a drive through the scenic Beverly Hills neighborhoods, marveling at the impressive homes and lush landscapes. Visiting the Greystone Mansion and Gardens, a historic English Tudied estate is also a must.

For dinner, we’d book a table at Spago, Chef Wolfgang Puck’s flagship restaurant, famous for its innovative, seasonal cuisine.

Day 4-5: Laguna Beach

From Beverly Hills, we’d head south to the beautiful coastal town of Laguna Beach. We would enjoy the pristine beaches, visit art galleries, and indulge in water sports like surfing and paddleboarding.

A visit to the Thousand Steps Beach is a must for any visitor, though the steps are not for the faint of heart. We’d also explore Heisler Park, with its gorgeous gardens and spectacular ocean views.

For meals, we’d go to Nick’s Laguna Beach for their exceptional service and comfort food. For seafood lovers, a visit to the Driftwood Kitchen would be ideal. For drinks, we’d visit the Rooftop Lounge, known for its stunning sunset views.

Day 6-7: Downtown San Diego

Lastly, we’d end the week in Downtown San Diego. I’d take my friend to the historic Gaslamp Quarter, where we could enjoy the vibrant nightlife, explore a variety of dining options, and perhaps catch a live show at one of the area’s many theaters.

During the day, we’d visit Balboa Park, home to the world-renowned San Diego Zoo and numerous museums. A visit to the USS Midway Museum is also a fantastic experience for history enthusiasts.

For dining, we’d go to Born & Raised for its delicious steaks and rooftop views. We’d enjoy cocktails at Prohibition, a 1920s-themed speakeasy known for its creative drinks.

Southern California has something for everyone, from luxurious shopping and dining experiences, to stunning beaches and historic attractions. It would be a week packed with fun, relaxation, and a lot of unforgettable memories.

The Shoutout series is all about recognizing that our success and where we are in life is at least somewhat thanks to the efforts, support, mentorship, love and encouragement of others. So is there someone that you want to dedicate your shoutout to?

I would like to dedicate my shoutout to my incredible wife. She has been my rock, my biggest supporter, and my source of inspiration throughout our journey together. Her unwavering belief in me and her constant encouragement have played a significant role in my success and where I am in life today.

She has been cheering me on in both my personal and professional endeavors. Whether I faced challenges or celebrated achievements, she stood by my side, offering her love, guidance, and understanding. While always having my back,  she also contributes immensely to our family’s well-being. She manages our household with grace, ensuring that everything runs smoothly and that our home is a place of warmth and comfort. Her dedication to our family’s happiness is truly commendable.
