We had the good fortune of connecting with Cassie Marin and we’ve shared our conversation below.

Hi Cassie, is there a quote or affirmation that’s meaningful to you?
I have a new favorite every day, it seems, but the most consistent and cemented affirmation that always stays floating at the top of my head is this personal one of mine: I am grateful to love and be loved.

Let’s talk shop? Tell us more about your career, what can you share with our community?
I am proud that my music teaches me about myself throughout all stages of its creation. What sets me apart from others in my own perspective can be very different from the perspective someone else can have of me, so I can only let the music speak for itself; it’s more fun that way.

Any places to eat or things to do that you can share with our readers? If they have a friend visiting town, what are some spots they could take them to?
I’ve lived in Los Angeles for four years now, and some of my favorite places so far are nowhere near each other. One of my favorite restaurants is called Firefly, located in Studio City, while another is called Pine and Crane in Silverlake, and my all-time favorite Chifa, is located in Eagle Rock. I typically spend most of my time chained to my desk writing, but when I am not, I enjoy visiting the beach with my book of the week or exploring the forest in the mountains with my dogs.
