Meet sandy avila | president of all female car club

We had the good fortune of connecting with sandy avila and we’ve shared our conversation below.

Hi sandy, what is the most important factor behind your success?
That we continue to keep the lowriding culture alive and encourage younger women that they can to indeed build and own lowriders like the men do.

Alright, so let’s move onto what keeps you busy professionally?
for my job a run a family construction company, i am the general manager. I’ve always helped run the family business since i was in middle school. i have also done many other thing on the side to pursue passions of min i have my license for manicuring and make up. i also have an associates degree in criminal justice . so i have done of number of different things. in different fields that i have had interests in.

If you had a friend visiting you, what are some of the local spots you’d want to take them around to?
My favorite restaurant is shogun in Pasadena. so definitely a dinner there and some drinks. then maybe a trip to beach if its summer, and any lowrider functions that there may be on the weekends.

The Shoutout series is all about recognizing that our success and where we are in life is at least somewhat thanks to the efforts, support, mentorship, love and encouragement of others. So is there someone that you want to dedicate your shoutout to?
I want to shout out every individual how has believed in me and encouraged me to continue to move forward. both male and female in the scene there are a few who have had my back since day 1. And continue to be great friends to me. my good friend Tina from Supernatural’s, Love for the streets organization. All the lady lowriders in the scene that support and show me unconditional love. also to the male lowriders have who have shown us love and respect as well.
