Yes…I heard a casting Director say this once and it made quite an impression because it is 100% true: “Your Network is your Net Worth”. I am not sure there is another profession where success is so reliant on who you know. All of the professional qualities a creative person might have mean nothing unless they have built up a contact list of reputable people who have gained a well earned status in the business. Yes, my favorite of all times was and stays the quote from Ukrainian novel called ”Tiger Trappers”. And it translates to something like ”Those who are brave – are always happy”. I have a little phrase – “change isn’t hard, it’s human” – to reflect the messiness of cultural evolution. “Choose a job you love, and you will never have to work a day in your life.” ― Confucius This is one of my favorite quotes, because it comes from a higher sense of the self. In other words, it is a message from the future, for the past. What I love about this quote is the very magic behind it. You must take a leap of faith into the unknown in order to allow what you love to do, to provide the harvest for your future, regardless of limitations such as income, benefits, and net worth. “Life itself is the most wonderful fairy tale.” -Hans Christian Andersen I see life as a magical happening, full of encounters, surprises, ups and downs, and a gift. I think we should all live life with more love, with a deeper sense of the privilege of having a new day, and be committed to making not only our reality;but everyone’s realities, a little bit better than it was yesterday. I believe in magic, in goodness, in spirituality, in art, in kindness, and in creating positive change in the world, and living life as “the most wonderful fairy tale” Read more>>
