We had the good fortune of connecting with Sam Pagan and we’ve shared our conversation below.

Hi Sam, can you walk us through the thought-process of starting your business?
After my contract with Nickelodeon ended, where I gained valuable experience working on Rugrats, I found myself at a crossroads in my career. I wanted to keep working for the animation industry but the opportunities presented were outside of Los Angeles. For the first time I felt uncomfortable about the idea of my work dictating where I would live. In my quest for alternatives, I stumbled upon an inspiring video by Alex Hormozi, which introduced a business model where one could potentially earn $1000 a day by teaching online. That’s when it clicked – “If I can work online, I can live anywhere, I thought”.

I learned from Alex Hormozi that the best way to get demand is to give something for free.

So I threw a promo on LinkedIn saying I would give a free portfolio review to anyone who’d like one. Six people signed in and I gave my best advice to these people. After the portfolio ended I said: “Hey, I have this mentorship starting next week, is this something you guys would be interested?” To my surprise, three of them said yes and in less than 24 hours I had my first 3 students. This gave me the confidence I needed to take the entrepreneurial path and start my own online education business.

Can you give our readers an introduction to your business? Maybe you can share a bit about what you do and what sets you apart from others?
My journey to building a business has been a challenge. The biggest challenge was to break my limiting beliefs and my perception of reality.

It is through educating myself with videos on Youtube that has made the biggest difference in my life. Especifically with videos from Alex Hormozi. Now all I want to do is learn as much as I can.
Why?
Because I have now evidence that the more I learn, the more income and growth I can make.

What I want people to know of my brand and story is that my journey is the result of wanting to cure my ignorance desperately. That absorbing knowledge from people who have had success makes a huge difference. That it is through knowledge and actions that you can have an artist like me change his course of his life.

Any places to eat or things to do that you can share with our readers? If they have a friend visiting town, what are some spots they could take them to?
If someone was visiting Los Angeles I would take them to eat Thai food. I’m a big fan of their food, especially the mango sticky rice. The places I would take this person would be Pasadena’s botanical garden. There is no place in the city where you can get such stunning nature with extraordinary foreign arquitecture. To hang out I would take them to Salsa Dance at Granada LA.
I’ve been obsessed with Salsa dancing for the past two years and it would be an honor to show them how to have fun in the Salsa dancing environment.

Who else deserves some credit and recognition?
I’d like to give a shoutout to Alex Hormozi for giving such amazing business knowledge online. Every I’ve done I my business is thanks to his videos.

Also shoutout to my parents and close friends to the never ending support.
