Meet Naila Léa | Musician & Comedian

We had the good fortune of connecting with Naila Léa and we’ve shared our conversation below.
Hi Naila, what role has risk played in your life or career?
There is a saying: ‘He, who doesn’t take risks, never drinks champagne’
I have taken quiet lot of risks in my life to be where I am today and I can assure you that the biggest things that I’ve accomplished in my life all came from taking risks.
Starting from coming to America from my hometown Armenia to publishing my 1st music video
I love taking risks in my day to day life, and don’t get me wrong sometimes those risks mean going against the rules, which between me and you;) is something that appeals to me a lot because it involves great benefits if done correctly

Can you open up a bit about your work and career? We’re big fans and we’d love for our community to learn more about your work.
I was growing up in Armenia. As a kid I’d grab a mic, usually a TV controller, stand up on a chair, scream my lungs out, while ‘performing’ for my imaginary audience, yes disturbing the neighbors, yes having my mama come from the other room and be like: “You are not singing it right” ( she is a piano teacher) and yes, having the time of my life haha.
Look, I am not a singer OK? I’ve been doing stand up comedy for the past three years and I just love the freedom of expressing myself however I want to. So now fast forward to Feb. 2022 I am publishing my 1st single “Paradise” alternative POP and you might ask yourself, is she a comedian, is she a singer? I’d say none. I like to be flowy like water, I do not like putting myself in a box with labeling who or what I am. You know what? I am made of God, just like You and put on this Earth for a reason. Thats if we put it short.
When I do comedy, even if I don’t perform my best, lets be real, if I bomb my set haha, I still get off the stage so hyped and happy, you’d think, what’s in her mind? You know when you find that one thing that is you, it will only fulfill you the more you do it. You can’t tell Da Vinci, what’d he do, after he painted something that never got the popularity of Mona Lisa, he kept painting, you feel me?
Before publishing my Music video “Paradise”, I was lost and unsure, of everything.
Then, took the risk, spent all of my money haha was around covid time, so all of my unemployment money, for the production of it, not knowing where is it going to take me, just doing it, and the results gave me the confidence, that I should keep doing what I am doing… I didn’t even dream of a song/music video like that. I was just proud, you know, that I could come up with something like this, if I put my mind to it.

Any places to eat or things to do that you can share with our readers? If they have a friend visiting town, what are some spots they could take them to?
I’d pick her up and go get some smoothies, she will need some vitamins after all the flying)). Then I would drive us to Malibu, taking the PCH, and having her see the magic view of the ocean and the sky. We would chill and tan by the beach and spend some amazing time breathing that ocean air.
Then we’d go to some place chill to get food, say Patrick’s Roadhouse, get some of their bomb fish salads and tacos, yummy
Then I would drive us back to my place, show her her room, where she could rest and sleep.
Next morning, its a Wednesday, I would make us some amazing omelet with Basturma, its an Armenian kind of meet, sold in Armenian stores in LA, we would enjoy that in my patio.
Then we would be out, heading to Runyon Canyon for a nice and refreshing hike.
After that we would go to Glendale, duh, Armenian girls night)) and have some amazing breakfast at Porto’s, one of my favorite bakeries in LA, we would try so many things, and not even have any coffee and dessert space left in our belies, yet do it anyway, cos their desserts are so good too.
We would go to Americana Mall, maybe check out some stores and then chill by the fountains, talking, sharing some fun stories and eating ice cream.
In the evening we would go back home so she can get back from her jet lag.
Thursday we would go have some breakfast at “Urth” caffe in Weho then we would head to Beverly Hills, check out Rodeo drive, grab some Starbucks, chill at the park by “The Maybourne” hotel in BH and just people watch and relax.
That evening we’d be eating at the Penthouse in Mastros. Having their amazing sides and the delicious filet mignon.
Friday, we would chill by my pool, enjoying the sun and having uber eats get us some breakfast.
Later we would have some friends come by and have some music and party vibes at the pool.
That evening we would go to movies at AMC and watch something fun.
Saturday we wake up early to go to Laguna beach with some friends. We enjoy ourselves doing jet skis and later renting a boat and having the time of our lives, sunset, champagne, water, music and friends, what can be better? Some food, made by our amazing chef: sushi and sashimi, life’s good!
Sunday we would take our camping tools and head to Paradise Falls waterfall. We would spend some amazing time, while swimming in the waterfall, eating good food that we brought with us and just emerging into nature.
Saturday we would do some Yoga at Runyon Canyon and then go eat at Tokaya, and have some of their amazing cocktails
Sunday would be lazy day, we chill at home, talk, go buy some clothes from Hollywood mall and watch the street artists and their amazing dance performances on the boulevard
Monday we would go to Comedy store and watch Iliza and have amazing time, we would later have some drinks at Waldorf Astoria rooftop
Tuesday, a day before she returns, we would shop for some souvenirs for her to take home, around 7pm we would go to Yamashiro for some amazing sushi, she would be in awe by the views of the city. Later I’d offer to drive us up the hills , we would park in the hills, bring out the snacks we got earlier, lay down, watch the stars, drink some wine, eat the snacks and become 1 with universe in this peaceful joy.
Wednesday I’d drive her back to LAX and her eyes would be shining from happiness of how fulfilling and eye opening was her trip:)

Who else deserves some credit and recognition?
Dr Joe Dispenza
I’ve been learning and evolving myself along the way to be where I am and hands down, I don’t really know where I would have been today if not the mentorship and knowledge that I was lucky enough to receive from Dr Joe Dispenza.
I took one of his 3 day courses in Denver and it just enriched all the previous information that I had gathered by following him and watching his materials. I believe this man is one of a kind in our society, looking at his achievements, there is an incredible amount of people who are able to heal and progress and benefit in so many ways in their lives thanks to this man.
