We had the good fortune of connecting with Suri Hernandez and we’ve shared our conversation below.

Hi Suri, where are your from? We’d love to hear about how your background has played a role in who you are today?
I’m from Puebla, Mexico. My parents didn’t have the opportunity to finish elementary school. They struggled to survive, pay bills and feed three children even though they do everything to help us to go to school. When I was around 7 years old, we move to the city. I remember one homework assignment which required me to interview some of my relatives and I found out that no one was finished collage, it was then when I decide to go to college. I set a goal to be the first person on my family to do it and I did it.

Alright, so for those in our community who might not be familiar with your business, can you tell us more?
@Biuchic is a Mobile Boutique which provide a shopping experience, the boutique goes to your home. We lived in a social media environment that it is easy to be swallow in it. I love to meet my customers and be abe to know them in person.
I started my business in the middle of COV-19 but @Biuchic born in October 2022, still representing a challenge to compite with big industries talking about price range. Moreover, as entrepreneur I have to learn finance, time management, marketing, etc.
The most difficult part about my business was to understand that my business is an extension of me. At the same time @Biuchic was born a relationship of 16 years with the father of my three handsome boys was ending, the struggle was real. I didn’t let myself down and more than nobody I had to believe in my project. I redirect my attention and energy to @Biuchic and today I can say it was a great year. I’m going for more!
Lesson learned:
You are more productive, creative and comfortable when you are in a good environment.
You have to let go what distracts you from your goal.

Let’s say your best friend was visiting the area and you wanted to show them the best time ever. Where would you take them? Give us a little itinerary – say it was a week long trip, where would you eat, drink, visit, hang out, etc.
I live 10 minutes away from New York City, how lucky I’m right? After I pick up my friend from the airport this would be our first and then it is a list of places that we will visit:

1.-La Fortaleza, Mexican restaurant
2.- Walk along the Blvd East, New Jersey
3.- 9/11 Memorial & Museum
4.- Skyline cruise to Statute of Liberty
5.- The Edge
6.-Broadway Show
7.-Empire State Building Observatory
8.-If it is Christmas season, Rockefeller Center
9.-Dyker Heights in Christmas Time
10.- American Dream Mall
11-. Ophelia Lounge
12.- Son Cubano

The Shoutout series is all about recognizing that our success and where we are in life is at least somewhat thanks to the efforts, support, mentorship, love and encouragement of others. So is there someone that you want to dedicate your shoutout to?
Statewide Hispanic Chamber of Commerce of New Jersey. In December of 2019 I apply for a mentoring program for entrepreneurs, and I get accepted. I had just the idea to create @Biuchic but with guidance and advice from my couches my dream come true. Step by step I materialize it.
