We had the good fortune of connecting with Dr Heather Browne, PsyD, LMFT and we’ve shared our conversation below.

Hi Dr Heather, what do you attribute your success to?
My success comes from my deep desire to help clients find the ability within themselves to change, to learn, to grow, and to transform from this moment forward. Everything that doesn’t serve them can fall away. I extend a massive amount of knowledge and skill which is woven with respect and compassion. This combination equips my clients with the tools they need, the support they require, and the faith that they can become more than they have yet become.

Alright, so for those in our community who might not be familiar with your business, can you tell us more?
Growing up with a Mom who was a paranoid schizophrenic, made it really clear, that my childhood was not like others. And watching my Mom struggle showed me how little we really know about the mind and the fact that people all exist in different realities.

I grew up wanting to keep my Mom present and alive. I saw the fragility of the mind. I wanted to help free people to share their passions, their voice, and their purpose.

Recognizing that we all have a myriad of realities helps me to support clients who feel lost, stuck, or confused, transform. I help clients reparent themselves and find balance and peace within their lives. I am successful because people grow, become empowered, and thrive. Giving yourself your power and choice is vital.

This is your life. It’s precious. Helping clients recognize this, the beauty in a moment changes everything. We all want love. It starts with embracing yourself fully. This is what I share with clients. How to move beyond old beliefs and patterns that rob a client of their vitality. It’s important to learn how to release the negative mind clutter and destructive beliefs. I am called the Re-Frame Queen because I am so skilled at helping people look at both sides…the problem and the exploration. This allowed me to have the courage to give a TedX on compassion and loneliness.

It also emboldened me to write my book.

I am skilled at helping couples learn to live deeply and intimately. In my book I walk people through more effective and powerful ways to communicate. I show people how to love with intention and purpose. How to respect your partner and walk the journey with them. My book is loaded with exercises to support you in these changes and explorations. There’s 27 years of being a therapist pressed into this book. Communication is a love letter.

What I want the world to know is this moment is all up to you. Will you fill it with love? Joy? Hope? Magic?

If you had a friend visiting you, what are some of the local spots you’d want to take them around to?
If someone was coming to meet with me, I would want to start with what they love or want to see. Since time is precious, you want to share it with others in ways that will be remembered. It might be a gorgeous sunset at the beach, a hike in the mountains, or a night walk by the Hollywood sign. Pleasure starts with what you enjoy and letting yourself experience.

In Orange County, you are going to want to see beaches: Laguna, Corona Del Mar, Newport, Balboa, Huntington.

Amusement parks: Disneyland and Knott’s Berry Farm, Soak City.

Shopping: Fashion Island, Irvine Spectrum, The Outlets.,

Who else deserves some credit and recognition?
I dedicate this to my Mom, Virginia, who struggled to live in this world, often falling away into paranoid schizophrenia and realities where I could not join here. This created a deep desire within me as a child to help her stay safe, sane, and alive. I wanted her to feel my love.
