We had the good fortune of connecting with Eduardo De Benito and we’ve shared our conversation below.
Hi Eduardo, we’d love to hear more about how you thought about starting your own business?
The main thought is to think differently from the rest of the agencies and studios, something complicated because the market, clients and momentum make the majority adapt their capabilities to their needs, think outside the box to communicate differently and with different formats. .
Alright, so let’s move onto what keeps you busy professionally?
With training as a designer, I began to shape myself as an advertising creative, specializing in car brands. Creating a territory for each brand with everything it represents is a titanic effort from the tone of the brand, the image, the strategy. Now I try to make all my projects You have 3 pillars, which are art/design, technology, awareness of the planet, which are the fields where I try to create “gravity brands” where brands can influence positively.
Let’s say your best friend was visiting the area and you wanted to show them the best time ever. Where would you take them? Give us a little itinerary – say it was a week long trip, where would you eat, drink, visit, hang out, etc.
I think the trip would go to my childhood where my imagination had no brief, I think every child draws and when they get older they stop doing it and I don’t understand why. Drinking Coca-Cola, eating chips, sweets and ice cream, endless Friday afternoons with a SuperNes, losing my fingerprints from playing so much, then watching some science fiction movie like “The Thing” and going to sleep thinking about all the things that have happened to you that are far from “normal.”
The Shoutout series is all about recognizing that our success and where we are in life is at least somewhat thanks to the efforts, support, mentorship, love and encouragement of others. So is there someone that you want to dedicate your shoutout to?
I think my mentor was the pop generation, all the movies, the music, the series with all the idea behind it with its aesthetics, it captivated me, along with a principle of synesthesia that complicated my studies, and that only in plastic arts I could stand out.
