We had the good fortune of connecting with Diamond Aminyti and we’ve shared our conversation below.

Hi Diamond, can you walk us through the thought-process of starting your business?
I originally starting selling hair in high school for extra money. I graduated in 2019, the last class of high school before the world changed as we knew it. I would offer free delivery with orders so this helped me gain customers quickly throughout the LA area. Unfortunately the Covid lockdown happened, and it left me with a huge shipment of hair that I didn’t really know what to do with. I didn’t know how to do hair, I hardly knew how to silk my own ponytail right. But I had YouTube, and a year to lock into a new skill. I started learning how to make wigs and experiment with my hair, and I took off from there

Let’s talk shop? Tell us more about your career, what can you share with our community?
I am a wig designer or a hair artist. I prioritize customer service, such as getting to know my client deeper so I can service them uniquely, and I prioritize quality, so every client is completely satisfied with their experience. I’m proud to say I’m building a name for myself that people are being to know and trust for premium hair and wigs. I’m also proud to say Aminyti Beauty survived COVID and year 3 of business. 90% of small businesses fail within year 2-5. It’s not easy being a solo entrepreneur, but I face the challenges that arise everyday face on. There’s unique lessons in all of it, you learn more about yourself, your business, and what you’re capable of. I want the world to know that Aminyti Beauty is an unforgettable brand for luxury and quality.

Any places to eat or things to do that you can share with our readers? If they have a friend visiting town, what are some spots they could take them to?
In a few words, I will tell you why LA is one of the best cities ever.

First I would take my bestie to my hometown, Inglewood, CA. We have amazing food, culture, and renovated hangout spots like the forum or the Hollywood park area.

Then we can go chill at the Santa Monica pier. One of LA’s staple areas. The views are gorgeous at day or night and the food is pretty good

Then we can go to Palmdale and ride some AVs. Rent out a beautiful home, stay lowkey, and have fun

I would finish her trip off showing her San Fernando Valley. It’s more posh up there, they have a better mall, and Malibu is only a couple of minutes away.

This would be my ideal week trip during a warm season, if it’s cold if show her Big Bear.

LA is truly diverse and we have so much to offer. Our culture is mixed, we’re a melting pot of all races, and most of the time we just want to have a good time.

The Shoutout series is all about recognizing that our success and where we are in life is at least somewhat thanks to the efforts, support, mentorship, love and encouragement of others. So is there someone that you want to dedicate your shoutout to?
Shoutout to every single being who has supported my brand in any way, shape, or form. To be a creator, it’s an amazing feeling to have someone else see your work and validate you. My Aminyti Girls respect me and support me, because it’s becomes deeper than hair. We form a bond through trust and communication. Special Shoutout to my grandma Brenda, she is the reason I have the drive to make something of myself and my name.
