We had the good fortune of connecting with Karina Salvador and we’ve shared our conversation below.

Hi Karina, we’d love to hear about how you approach risk and risk-taking
We took all of our savings, maxed out our cc and put it all in starting our business.

Can you give our readers an introduction to your business? Maybe you can share a bit about what you do and what sets you apart from others?
We started in our garage and door to door sales to gym owners and martial arts stores. We are proud to say we started our foundation that way because we really connected with the owners and helped us build our clientele. It wasn’t easy but through hard work and perseverance we managed to overcome these challenges and taught us that we can overcome anything if we think outside the box. Our brand and story came from a vision and a mission to help strengthen the Muay Thai community and make it grow more here in the United States.

Any places to eat or things to do that you can share with our readers? If they have a friend visiting town, what are some spots they could take them to?
We would take them to thai town and the san gabriel valley. It may look and sound small but there are so many interesting places to see eat and play. San Gabriel Valley is known for its boiling pot of asian food, whether it be Thai Food or Japanese, etc. there is a restaurant for it. One of our favorite places to eat is Banana Bay of Temple City; serves one of the best Thai Food around and their fried ice cream is a must try. One of our favorite dessert places is Uncle Tetsu at the Santa Anita Shops; their original cheesecake is definitely mouth watering.

The Shoutout series is all about recognizing that our success and where we are in life is at least somewhat thanks to the efforts, support, mentorship, love and encouragement of others. So is there someone that you want to dedicate your shoutout to?
My husband Philip he is my partner in building our business and everything else in life.
