We had the good fortune of connecting with Tierra Jones and we’ve shared our conversation below.

Hi Tierra, how do you think about risk?
I believe in order to have growth both in my personal life and career, I had to take a risk and leap of faith. One time I booked a supporting role on a short film and needed only one day off for the film shoot and my manager at my job refused my day off request, so I quit that job in order to work on the film. Another example of a risk I took was moving from Atlanta to LA and then later to New York City to pursue new opportunities in film/tv. I’m so happy I did! You have to step outside your comfort zone and pursue your passion! Along the way, I’ve learned invaluable lessons about the importance of resilience, authenticity, and staying true to my vision.

Can you open up a bit about your work and career? We’re big fans and we’d love for our community to learn more about your work.
I am an actress, award-winning producer, and journalist What sets me apart is my versatility and passion for storytelling. I possess a unique set of skills that allow me to create art seamlessly both in front of and behind the camera. At this time, I’m excited to be producing my first feature film Andean Meso: Rise Against the Dominion. The screenplay has already won 4 indie awards. It wasn’t easy, getting to where I am today. I just work hard and stayed true to my vision. Embracing challenges has taught a lesson(s) in self-discovery. It has equipped me with the resilience, creativity, and confidence needed to thrive in entertainment industry. What I want the world to know about me and my brand is that I am committed to using my platform to amplify diverse voices and advocate for positive change.

If you had a friend visiting you, what are some of the local spots you’d want to take them around to?
For a week-long trip in New York City with my best friend, I’d start by taking them to iconic landmarks like Times Square, Central Park, and the Statue of Liberty. We’d explore diverse neighborhoods like Chelsea, Greenwich Village, and Chinatown, sampling delicious food. We’d catch a Broadway show, go shopping and visit One World for Observatory for breathtaking views of city. For nightlife, we’d hit up trendy rooftop bars and clubs.

The Shoutout series is all about recognizing that our success and where we are in life is at least somewhat thanks to the efforts, support, mentorship, love and encouragement of others. So is there someone that you want to dedicate your shoutout to?
I want to give a big shout out Alessio Filippelli for being a true friend, manager and an incredible creative. Thank you for believing in me. My mentor, producer Patricia Chica for her friendship and guidance. My business partner, producer Aaron Kelly of AK Entertainment. I also want to give a huge shout out to my son Jordan, he is my whole heart! I also want to thank anyone who as supported me in my artistic journey.
