We had the good fortune of connecting with Rocio Lopez and we’ve shared our conversation below.

Hi Rocio, why did you decide to pursue a creative path?
I persued a creative career to inspire others through the things I do. It’s the best feeling to have an idea come to life and see others enjoy what comes out of that and gets them to feel a wider perspective of possibilities.

Let’s talk shop? Tell us more about your career, what can you share with our community?
I create Art for digital or printing purposes and make handmade Art, as well. My art is pyrography with touch of acrylic paint, glitter and resin. I also create content that brings empowerment to others.

As a freelance artist creative, I intend to communicate love through my work and my words. I want to serve as a reminder to stay in touch with our inner child because expressing what our inner child identifies with and being intentional with love is the best way of experiencing a high vibrational life. When you act on your highest excitement, it feels like enlightenment to the highest possible way of living. That is what I love about creating art and about creating anything. Through my work, I want to serve, to ignite passion, love, magic, or some type of inspiration to believe in thyself. You open yourself to even more love when you do things with love.

I took a media course and certified in Media Tech in high-school and since then have been implementing my skills. At first is was as a hobby until it became acknowledged more and more by others, therefore I created Venus. Support from others has lead me to expand my work and I’m always excited to share that. Soon I will be having a release date for merchandise, for my brand. It has been trail and errors but with consistency and perseverance anything is possible to get by.

Let’s say your best friend was visiting the area and you wanted to show them the best time ever. Where would you take them? Give us a little itinerary – say it was a week long trip, where would you eat, drink, visit, hang out, etc.
If my Best friend was visiting the area, we’d go to the Long Beach Pike because there are food trucks and fruit Vendors out. There’s also paddle boating and a Ferris wheel to ride on for fun. During the summer it’s such a beautiful vibe and a lot of people are enjoying themselves out there. You also get the view of the Queen Mary, the dock and restaurants across the street, not to mention the outlets, too. I love that LA is near Beaches and full of museums. My favorite to explore has been Mr Brainwash Art Museum, It’s so vibrant and colorful.

Who else deserves some credit and recognition?
I want to dedicate my shoutout to my sister, Maria and my family, who have been my biggest supporters from the initial of my journey and have encouraged me go continue moving through every phase I’ve experienced. I also want to express immense gratitude to my friends and initial customers whom trusted me with my work. Without any of them, I couldn’t have made it this far
