Hi Matthew, how does your business help the community?
As a wedding or special event DJ, I believe I contribute significantly to our community in various ways.. By curating the perfect musical ambiance, I ensure that weddings and events are not just ordinary gatherings but unforgettable moments that people cherish for years to come. This ability to craft a unique atmosphere brings joy and excitement to celebrations, fostering stronger bonds within our community.

Moreover, being a local DJ means I am part of the fabric of our local economy. When hired for events, I am not just providing entertainment but also supporting small businesses and fellow professionals in the event industry, thus contributing directly to our economic growth. Additionally, I take pride in showcasing a diverse range of music genres, including culturally significant styles. This not only adds depth to the musical experience but also promotes cultural diversity and appreciation within our community, making our gatherings more inclusive and vibrant.

Let’s talk shop? Tell us more about your career, what can you share with our community?
This was all just a dream. I envisioned this everyday and I’m still growing and learning to get to where I want to be in this industry. I started out doing small backyard parties and worked my way up to doing Quinceaneras and Graduations. Fast Forward 8 years, I’m a Wedding DJ & MC providing entertainment for high profile clients in the Los Angeles area.

For me DJing is easy but growing my business was a whole other story. Like many small business owners I faced some challenges along the way. Being resourceful and creative was one of the things that really helped me move along and keep up with the trends and changes in the industry.
I’ve always looked to others in the industry when things get rough. Whether it be reaching out to fellow DJs or coordinators for advice or watching and learning.

I’ve always wanted the best for my clients and I’ve always done whatever it takes to get to the top. It’s my goal to give them the best nights of their lives

Any places to eat or things to do that you can share with our readers? If they have a friend visiting town, what are some spots they could take them to?
I spend most of my time outdoors. After all we’re in California where there are endless sights to see and places to be. I enjoy being active outdoors whether it’s hiking, biking, fishing, camping, you name it. On the other hand I do love the LA night life. It’s where I got my first taste of what a DJs life is like.

Some of the places I’ve frequently visited are Venice Beach, Avalon, LA Live, Hollywood. DTLA. Even though I love being out, I do also love visiting my local bars & restaurants for a weekday happy hour. It’s a nice balance

Who else deserves some credit and recognition?
I’d love to give a shoutout to electronic music as a whole. If it wasn’t for my passion to want to be apart of the culture then I wouldn’t have never started this journey. Additionally, I believe my daughter played a major role in inspiring me and giving me motivation to want more out of life and to start enjoying life more. What better way then to join couples on the biggest nights of their lives.
