Meet Jade The Hbic | Entertainer and Entrepreneur

We had the good fortune of connecting with Jade The Hbic and we’ve shared our conversation below.
Hi Jade, let’s talk legacy – what do you want yours to be?
I want my legacy to be iconic, not because of riches, fame, or status, but because of my accomplishments and contributions to making the world a better place. I want to inspire and motivate people, entertain them, push boundaries, and change the game.
I aim to leave an impact in the fashion industry as an entertainer and influencer. I want to be seen as innovative and inventive, someone who worked extremely hard not only for myself but for my family, loved ones, supporters, and even critics. I want to be remembered as more than just a dreamer or believer, but also as an overachiever.
I want to be remembered for joy, happiness, authenticity, genuineness, and love—qualities I put out into the world. I hope my legacy and the empire I build with my company, Head Bitch Productions, and my clothing brand, HOL, will continue to prosper and grow, along with my other businesses. As I pass the torch to my children or siblings, I will leave my mark on this world. People will remember my videos, music, choreography, personality, and fashion. I want my legacy to be legendary and one that last forever .

Alright, so for those in our community who might not be familiar with your business, can you tell us more?
My company, Head Bitch Productions, is an entertainment and fashion company. Our clothing brand, HOL, is a streetwear brand that pushes the boundaries of high fashion and comfy couture. Head Bitch Productions focuses not only on entertaining content but also on relatable stories. We strive to provide opportunities for other creatives, entrepreneurs, and entertainers to showcase their talents. This can be as guests on shows like ‘The Hotbox w/ The HBIC’ or ‘Kweens on Deck’, performing at our events, or working behind the scenes in photography, designing, and more.
We are committed to uplifting and growing not only ourselves but also everyone involved with HBP and our HOL clothing brand. What sets us apart is our unique creativity in executing content and products. As we prepare to launch in August 2024, we ensure that everything, from our clothing collection to our videos and music, has a cohesive quality. We embrace a “go big or go home” mentality, producing everything at an elevated level with a unique touch. That’s why our slogan is, “To be a Legend, you gotta be willing to do Legendary shit!”
This journey hasn’t been easy. It’s a path not for the faint of heart, filled with highs and lows, peaks and valleys. Some days are more productive, while others are more challenging. The most difficult part has been securing funding. As a startup, we need working capital to generate revenue, and it’s tough to find loans, grants, or investors willing to take a chance on us. However, it’s not impossible. There are CDFIs, angel investors, and other sources that might help. A strong business plan and revenue projections for at least 6-12 months are crucial.
Don’t get discouraged. If you’ve made it this far, you’re on the right path to success, and the funds will come. Every day brings new challenges, especially when managing everything on your own. I overcome these by reassuring myself daily, finding balance in my busy schedule, and taking at least two hours of “me time” each day. It’s important to show yourself grace and avoid unnecessary stress, which can derail you.
What I want people to know about my brand and story is that WE ARE HERE TO STAY, SLAY, AND SHAKE THE TABLE.

If you had a friend visiting you, what are some of the local spots you’d want to take them around to?
I would take them to WeHo (West Hollywood) because wether in the day or night time it is always a vibe . We would start off the Abbey and move around to Beaches , Roccos, move around to what’s popping and I always end up at Trunks because Trunks is my favorite and best place to end a great night . There are always drag queens and influencers and good music.

Shoutout is all about shouting out others who you feel deserve additional recognition and exposure. Who would you like to shoutout?
Unfortunately, there isn’t anyone specific I can think of to thank. While there are people who have helped me along the way, such as my mom and my two former therapists, Lauren and Nikki, the person I can give the most credit to is myself.
I have been through a lot in my life, faced many adversities, and survived numerous challenges. My mindset, the way I operate, and the person I am today are all things I have taught myself. I had to learn how to stand up for myself, navigate the real world, speak, grow, heal, exist, and survive. I taught myself almost everything.
I learned from what I saw and experienced. Growing up, I knew that the lifestyle around me wasn’t what I wanted. I knew I was destined for more. I learn from things that happen and people I encounter in my everyday life. So, if I’m going to shout out anything, it would be my experiences in life. Every failure, every “no,” every person who turned their back on me, and every situation and person that hurt me all helped me learn and teach myself how to elevate, grow, and succeed.
