Meet Jessica Eldredge | Hair stylist and occasional wedding florist

We had the good fortune of connecting with Jessica Eldredge and we’ve shared our conversation below.
Hi Jessica, is there something that you feel is most responsible for your success?
People. Community to be more specific. I try my best to develop a relationship with my clients that’s not just transactional. I truly believe that’s important.
I want my client to feel like I really do care about the things they share with me and of course the hair concerns they may have.

Let’s talk shop? Tell us more about your career, what can you share with our community?
I am a hair stylist based in South Pasadena and I mostly do lived in haircuts and styling for weddings and events.
I don’t do a lot of ‘global blonding’ as most people here in LA like to do but I am moving my business direction into bridal hair as my passion is more with weddings and events.
I also picked up working with flowers 2 years ago and now do florals for small weddings in SoCal!
I feel very thankful that in my life I had wise people guiding me in finding my passion. I don’t think it was ever a easy journey but because of these strong pillars. in my life who trusted me I had fun tackling life’s challenges. I think who you surround yourself with is very important. People who encourage you but also hold you accountable. People who want to thrive with you, lean on you and allow you to lean on them. People who don’t believe in competition but uplifting one another to succeed together. These are the types of people I surround myself with because they helped me get through the hard days.
I want people to know that what I do as a hairstylist or florist is beyond the hair and the florals.
I want it to be an experience working with me. A memorable experience where you feel heard. At least that’s what I’ve felt I want my brand to be so far.

Any places to eat or things to do that you can share with our readers? If they have a friend visiting town, what are some spots they could take them to?
I think I said this before in another Voyage interview but just a taco run all over LA.
And boba. Lots of boba.
I would probably hang out just visiting all the coffee shops and little cute stores around the neighborhoods in LA.
Maybe a trip to Joshua Tree and just relax.

Shoutout is all about shouting out others who you feel deserve additional recognition and exposure. Who would you like to shoutout?
I think it would take all day to list the people who’ve cheered me along this path in doing hair and now florals but my mom and dad for sure. They knew before I even knew that this would be my path in life. And my baby brother. He is a man of few words but always is my number one hype man. I love my family.
