We had the good fortune of connecting with Lilian Marr and we’ve shared our conversation below.

Hi Lilian, what do you want people to remember about you?
I would love to be remembered as a person who had an impact on their community, as someone who made a change. I aspire to be a good example.

Can you give our readers an introduction to your business? Maybe you can share a bit about what you do and what sets you apart from others?
I am a private tennis coach, personal trainer, and college student. After not being able to go to college I had a hard time, I was depressed and wasn’t motivated to do much. I started having an unhealthy lifestyle, I gained 60 lbs, and after a visit to the doctor I was told my blood pressure was too high and due to my family’s history this could’ve been very dangerous. After this moment I decided I needed to do something and that is when I fell in love with fitness. I lost weight and my life changed, I was healthy again. That is when I knew I wanted to help others reach their best version. A few years later I started to play tennis again which led me to start coaching, this helped me pay for college which I am very grateful for.

If you had a friend visiting you, what are some of the local spots you’d want to take them around to?
If my friends were coming to town I would take them for a Franklin Canyon hike followed by an Erewhon smoothie. I would also take them to get pupusas at Grand Central Market and then drinks at Tu Madre West Hollywood.

Shoutout is all about shouting out others who you feel deserve additional recognition and exposure. Who would you like to shoutout?
My parents are the reason I work hard and always try to do better.
