Meet Corinna Lam | Artist & Realtor

We had the good fortune of connecting with Corinna Lam and we’ve shared our conversation below.
Hi Corinna, can you share a quote or affirmation with us?
The quote “A man with outward courage dares to die; a man with inner courage dares to live.” by Lao Tzu inspires me to live authentically—and to avoid the temptation of just faking it until I make it.
For me, this quote is a reminder that true bravery it’s about embracing ones own weirdness, being honest about what you want out of life, and not settling for anything less than living on your own terms. It’s a nudge to stay open-minded, keep questioning, and not be afraid of whatever the answer would be. In a world that often rewards the loudest voice, this quote is my daily affirmation to let my inner compass guide me, even if it leads me down the road less traveled (or the one with better snacks).

Alright, so for those in our community who might not be familiar with your business, can you tell us more?
I got into the real estate industry by coincidence but also felt like fate. My crush was studying for his real estate salesperson license at the time, and in an attempt to share more common activities with him, I started studying along. While he chose another career path, I ended up becoming a realtor.
It’s funny how life works out, considering my family had been suggesting for years that I launch a career in real estate—my dad was a real estate agent, and my older brother is a realtor too. Finally I did it because of some other man.
Now, here I am, carving out my own path in the industry. According to my 8-year-old niece, I still look like a teenager—Maybe not an ideal image in a field where experience is often seen as the ultimate currency. But here’s the thing: while experience is valuable, the highest compliment I’ve received as a realtor is being professional yet personable.
At the heart of my work, I believe that true freedom comes from having choices, and that’s what I strive to offer my clients—prosperity, guiding us all to our next destination.

Let’s say your best friend was visiting the area and you wanted to show them the best time ever. Where would you take them? Give us a little itinerary – say it was a week long trip, where would you eat, drink, visit, hang out, etc.
When my best friend visits me here in San Francisco, we’d kick off our mornings with a fresh vibe and flavor by grabbing breakfast at Simple Pleasures café, a bohemian-style coffee shop that’s been a local favorite since 1978. Known for its signature fresh coffee, they roast their beans right next door at their own roastery, making every cup a true San Francisco experience.
After fueling up, we’d take a leisurely walk in Golden Gate Park to soak in some tranquility before the day picks up.
For lunch, we’d head over to Clement Street in the Richmond District, where the hardest decision of the day would be choosing what cuisine we’re in the mood for—whether it’s dim sum, sushi, or some comforting pasta, Clement Street has it all.
In the afternoon, we’d explore the Presidio and hit a few balls at the driving range, enjoying the blend of nature and city life that makes San Francisco so unique. Then, we’d find ourselves back in the Outer Richmond, strolling along the Lands End trails, where the stunning views of the Golden Gate Bridge and the rugged coastline never fail to impress.
As the day winds down, we’d make our way to The Laundromat for dinner, a local spot known for its unique and delicious mushroom pizza. To wrap up the night, we’d play some pool at Hockey Haven, a classic dive bar where the atmosphere is always lively.
And that’s what I call a successful day in the Richmond District of San Francisco—good food, great views, and even better company.

Shoutout is all about shouting out others who you feel deserve additional recognition and exposure. Who would you like to shoutout?
Though it’s not always easy to admit, my dad, Richard, has profoundly taught me the meaning of dignity—while also teaching me how to win an argument with just a raised eyebrow. Through his example, I’ve come to appreciate the art of navigating life’s chaos with calmness that comes from well-timed planning. He has this incredible way of handling challenges that makes you wonder if he has a visionary playbook for life, and I’ve tried to sneak a peek whenever I can.
Beyond my dad’s wisdom, I’ve been fortunate to have mentors and friends who seemed to know when to give me a nudge or a reality check, never hesitating to remind me to laugh at my own mistakes.
To my dad, my mentors and my friends, this shout out is for all of you. Thanks for making my life a little less unpredictable and a lot more meaningful.
