We had the good fortune of connecting with Sasha Campbell and we’ve shared our conversation below.

Hi Sasha, we’d love for you to start things off by telling us something about your industry that we and others not in the industry might be unaware of?
A bartender…. a priest… and an organizer. At first glance, these professions have very little in common. However, we are the listeners. We hear the stories, the challenges and the “why I am the way that I am” confessions.

I am continually amazed at the level of emotion that goes along with being a professional organizer. Some times, it really is just about organizing the space: making a pantry functional or making a closet pretty. But so many times, it is about much more.

Time and time again, people confide in me as to why they want to keep certain things. It is the client that grew up poor so she keeps all that she can in case she needs it. It is the client that lost a loved one and somehow decluttering anything related to that loved one is dishonoring his/her memory.

I pride myself on getting to know the clients. If you understand where they are coming from, you can create systems that work for them.

Alright, so let’s move onto what keeps you busy professionally?
What sets us apart from the others:
Moms can do anything but not everything. As a mom myself with a Type A personality, it has taken me years to learn this. My most frequent client is a busy mom. When a mom reaches out, she often begins by saying that she is embarrassed because she needs help. I assure her that the hardest part is reaching out for help – I can take it from here. We all have different strengths and creating organizational systems that save a mom’s sanity is mine! No two clients are the same; therefore, no two projects are the same. I create systems and spaces based on getting to know the client’s goals, needs, and vison.

Let’s say your best friend was visiting the area and you wanted to show them the best time ever. Where would you take them? Give us a little itinerary – say it was a week long trip, where would you eat, drink, visit, hang out, etc.
Having lived in the Charlotte/Lake Norman area for over 16 years, I realize that there is so much that these areas have to offer! Some of my favorite things to do would be: adventuring at the White Water Center, boating on Lake Norman, trying some of the local beers in NoDa, and watching a Panthers game. No friend of mine would leave town without trying the Milkbread at Kindred in Davidson.

Shoutout is all about shouting out others who you feel deserve additional recognition and exposure. Who would you like to shoutout?
For my entire life, my mom has been an unwavering pillar of strength for me. Her love and support, has guided me not only along this business journey, but also with my personal endeavors. She is the best person I know and I am beyond blessed to have her as my mom.
