Meet Tiffany Johnson-minor | Childcare Entrepreneur, Devoted Mother, and Founder of a Nonprofit Organization

We had the good fortune of connecting with Tiffany Johnson-minor and we’ve shared our conversation below.
Hi Tiffany, what was your thought process behind starting your own business?
“I founded my nonprofit organization to address and strengthen the vital connection between parents and children, recognizing a critical need for support in fostering healthy family relationships.”

Alright, so for those in our community who might not be familiar with your business, can you tell us more?
“As a parent of a special needs child, I’ve faced the overwhelming challenges of trying to balance the demands of parenting, work, and my child’s education. The stress of managing meetings, emails, and finding appropriate classes while holding down a full-time job led me to a point of deep depression and frustration. I felt isolated, as if no one around me truly understood what I was going through.
Determined to be there for my child, I made a significant career shift to ensure I could attend meetings and answer important calls. However, even with that change, I found myself lost and struggling to advocate effectively for my child. This experience opened my eyes to a larger issue: many parents, especially those of special needs children, are forced to choose between providing for their families and actively participating in their children’s education.
This realization inspired me to establish A Mother’s Love Foundation, an organization dedicated to breaking down barriers and fostering true partnerships between parents and schools. We believe that every parent has the potential to advocate for their child, but they often need guidance and support to do so.
Our foundation supports youth parents from all backgrounds, helping them navigate the complex educational system and empowering them to be active participants in their children’s education. I’m incredibly proud of the work we do, as it not only provides essential resources but also creates a community where parents feel understood and supported.
Getting to where I am today wasn’t easy, but the challenges I faced have shaped our mission and strengthened my resolve. I’ve learned that persistence, community, and compassion are key, and I want the world to know that no parent should have to choose between their child’s education and their livelihood. A Mother’s Love Foundation is here to ensure they don’t have to.”
Let’s say your best friend was visiting the area and you wanted to show them the best time ever. Where would you take them? Give us a little itinerary – say it was a week long trip, where would you eat, drink, visit, hang out, etc.
We’d kick off the week with breakfast at Uncle Bill’s Pancakes, where we can enjoy some classic comfort food with an unbeatable view of the ocean. After that, we’d head over to the Manhattan Beach stairs for a workout—nothing like starting the day with a little exercise to get the energy flowing! Afterward, we’d take a leisurely walk along Manhattan Beach, catching up on life while enjoying the fresh ocean breeze. The afternoon would be spent exploring the local shops, picking up a few unique finds. be all about hitting the local tourist spots. We could explore some famous landmarks, like the Hollywood Walk of Fame or Griffith Observatory, and take in the sights that make Los Angeles iconic. If it’s basketball season, we’d definitely catch a game. Even though I’m a Clippers fan, I have a soft spot for the Lakers, so either team would be a blast to watch live at the arena.if the Dodgers are in town, we’d definitely grab some tickets and enjoy a night at the ballpark. There’s nothing like the energy of a live game, and it’s a must-do. For most days we’d keep things a bit more relaxed, starting with a morning at home but on Wednesday , in the evening, it’s off to 1010 Wine for a midweek treat. We’d enjoy a glass (or two) of wine in a cozy atmosphere, making it the perfect setting for more great conversations. As a homebody at heart, I’d dedicate some time to staying in, cooking a homemade meal, and hosting a small gathering with a few close friends. There’s something special about sharing a meal at home, where the atmosphere is relaxed, and the conversation flows naturally. In my view, the best experiences are those that combine the simple pleasures of life—good food, great company, and beautiful surroundings.

Shoutout is all about shouting out others who you feel deserve additional recognition and exposure. Who would you like to shoutout?
“My experience growing up at the Boys & Girls Club of Venice and participating in their programs provided me with a strong foundation for my future aspirations. I’m deeply grateful for the unwavering support of my close friends, who stand by me through all my ambitious endeavors.”
