We had the good fortune of connecting with Danielle Dmg.ventures and we’ve shared our conversation below.

Hi Danielle, why did you pursue a creative career?
I’ve always had a deep-seated passion for exploration, driven by a desire to discover new places and create unique experiences. For example, though I grew up in Los Angeles, I felt a pull to experience life outside California, so I completed my undergrad in Texas and immersed myself in its agricultural way of life. At 13, I took my first solo trip to visit my aunt in Arizona, and later, I embarked on my first transatlantic journey to South Africa, once again traveling alone.

In 2018, at the age of 23, I was diagnosed with Vestibular Migraines. The condition transformed many everyday tasks into significant challenges, but it also taught me to cherish the small moments and has deepened my appreciation for life. Today, my Vestibular Migraines are much more manageable, and I embrace each day with a sense of gratitude.

Alright, so let’s move onto what keeps you busy professionally?
I’ve been immersed in the veterinary field since I was 13, amassing what must be thousands of volunteer hours. My experiences range from working on farms and ranches to volunteering at the Marine Mammal Care Center in San Pedro, CA, the Los Angeles Zoo, various rescues, and numerous shelters. For nine years, I was a Veterinary Assistant, a role that was both familiar and fulfilling. However, I eventually realized that I didn’t envision myself in that position forever.

Despite exploring various roles, including those outside the veterinary field, I struggled to find a new direction. During my time working in an ER clinic, I gained invaluable experience and grew significantly in my skills, but I knew it wasn’t my ultimate career path.

I feel fortunate that my current employer reached out to me. Now, as a Clinical Talent Partner within the veterinary field, I continue to make an impact, though my focus has shifted from working directly with animals to supporting the team that helps them.

Veterinary medicine can be incredibly challenging, and it’s crucial for us all to extend compassion and patience to one another.

Any places to eat or things to do that you can share with our readers? If they have a friend visiting town, what are some spots they could take them to?
Oh man, you’re opening a can of worms with this prompt! I’ll try to keep it short.

I’d start by waking up my friends early (sorry!) and we’d go for a hike at Captain’s Roost. Then, we’d head over to Palos Verdes for breakfast at Yellow Vase and a walk around Terranea Resort. After that, we’d go to Point Vicente Park for a relaxation session, take a drive over the Vincent Thomas Bridge, and have dinner at Ammatoli.

Next, we’d head back across the bridge to Angel’s Gate Park to catch the sunset at the Korean Bell of Friendship. From there, we’d drive north on the 110 to downtown and Cara Cara for dinner. We’d do a quick view check at Spire 73 and then head to the Arts District for some brewery hopping. Finally, we’d end the night with a slice of pizza at Prince St. Pizza.

Shoutout is all about shouting out others who you feel deserve additional recognition and exposure. Who would you like to shoutout?
Family, friends, animals, and nature are at the core of what fuels me. My family and friends have consistently stood by me, offering unwavering support through both my unconventional ideas and the toughest moments. Their encouragement and unconditional love have been a constant source of strength.

Animals and nature, on the other hand, invigorate my spirit. With a career in the veterinary field since I was 13, I’ve developed a profound connection with animals, while nature’s vastness humbles me in the best way. Both have inspired my creativity and shaped my values in meaningful ways.
