Meet Paul Wright | Coach and fitness professional

We had the good fortune of connecting with Paul Wright and we’ve shared our conversation below.
Hi Paul, what role has risk played in your life or career?
Taking risks has molded me into the person that I am today. You simply find out more about yourself when you’re in flight or fight situations. You become more of the person that you’re supposed to be and in the process learn. Any risk taken will come with a lesson learned, failure or not.

Let’s talk shop? Tell us more about your career, what can you share with our community?
I look at movement as an art. The human body is limitless and even when we accomplish a specific goal, theres always more we can try to optimize about how our bodies move. There is no right or wrong just more or less efficient. We all can be on a different fitness journey and still obtain results!
Its never easy getting somewhere you aspire to be. For me, I always try to cater to the client/customers needs always and I think more importantly, become a likable person before anything else. That has been something that has gotten me opportunities in life; just being kind, nice, and myself!
Any places to eat or things to do that you can share with our readers? If they have a friend visiting town, what are some spots they could take them to?
In the Bay Area theres a lot to do. Id make sure we sight see in SF, see famous monuments and hang by bay. Ride a kayak on the water or a bike boat! Hike in the East Bay or North Bay in Marin. We would eat in all of the Caribbean spots the Bay has to offer and probably step out a few nights to some small music shows!

The Shoutout series is all about recognizing that our success and where we are in life is at least somewhat thanks to the efforts, support, mentorship, love and encouragement of others. So is there someone that you want to dedicate your shoutout to?
I dedicate this to my parents and the culture they raised me in. I take a lot of the aspects of Jamaican culture with me into my day to day life interactions and that has always helped me stay true to myself and my values.
