We asked insiders and experts from various industries to tell us something they think outsiders are unaware of and we’ve shared a few of those responses below.

Sierra Elaina | CEO, Lehua Brands

People often think, “Wow, you are in cannabis; that must be so fun,” but in reality, it can be so “unfun” and extraordinarily challenging is all I can say. It is by far the hardest grind I have ever had to do! Trust me, I am used to 20-hour days, hard conversations, tough market conditions, dealing with numbnuts, and asking “WTF?”—but in cannabis, it is a whole other level. And this is what I deal with hourly! In most other industries, you would be allowed a break, but not us in the cannabis industry. Jenny Formica | Actor & Voiceover Artist

I have so many friends that aren’t in the entertainment industry and I find they are all shocked to know how much of this industry is a business. So many people equate “Hollywood” to A-list celebrities, but they don’t see the ins and outs of what it takes to even get one line on a TV show. Beneath the fame and fortune of the top elite, there are actors who are constantly taking classes, getting new headshots and reel footage, networking, finding the correct rep and more. You are your own business and therefore you have to market yourself as such. Read more>>
