Meet Autumn Davida

We had the good fortune of connecting with Autumn Davida and we’ve shared our conversation below.
Hi Autumn, why did you pursue a creative career?
I have pursued an artistic career because photography has given me a profound sense of purpose. When I was a little girl, I was always eager to get my hands on someone’s camera. Now that I have my own camera, I bring it with me everywhere. I am drawn to the art of capturing moments and sharing them. I believe God has guided me on this remarkable journey, allowing me to appreciate the beauty He has created and to honor Him by sharing those creations through my photographs.
Alright, so let’s move onto what keeps you busy professionally?
I am currently working as a freelance photographer and aspire to start my own business in the future. I particularly enjoy capturing moments for families and couples. You can see some of my work on my Instagram, @autumn_davidas_studio.
A bit about me: I grew up on a ranch with my parents, surrounded by horses, dogs, and cats. This environment deepened my appreciation for the beauty of nature, with miles of nothing man-made around me. I enjoy praising God through worship, watching sunsets, and spending time with my family.
In high school, I studied black-and-white film photography using a 35mm camera, which sparked my interest in the art. I later explored color and digital photography, developing a passion for portrait and landscape photography. Portrait photography allows me to connect with individuals and capture their unique expressions, while landscape photography enables me to celebrate the breathtaking beauty of God’s creations.
What began as a hobby has transformed into a powerful medium for self-expression, allowing me to share my perspective through the lens. I currently work at a luxurious maternity studio called Mylah Moments, and I hope to open my own photography studio someday to spread joy through my photos.

Let’s say your best friend was visiting the area and you wanted to show them the best time ever. Where would you take them? Give us a little itinerary – say it was a week long trip, where would you eat, drink, visit, hang out, etc.
It would really depend on the weather because the AV has crazy weather so I would base it off of the season to show someone the best time ever in the AV. I would plan to go to the poppy reserve in the spring time and see the poppies in full bloom.
In the summer, I would plan something indoors, because it gets really hot. We could go to the Musuem of Art and History or the Lancaster Performing Art center.
The best time to do outdoor activities is in the fall, including hiking and biking at the Aquaduct and other local trails near the AV. We could also go to the AV Fair to go on rides and check out the arts & crafts.
In winter, near Christmas time there are a bunch of houses with lights to look at and the Prime Desert Woodland Perserve has a very nice setup with Christmas lights as well. When its too cold, we could go to the AV Mall and hang out inside while drinking hot cocoa. I also enjoy stargazing when the sky is clear because the city lights do not interfere.
Some places I enjoy eating at include Blaze Pizza, Chipotle, and Habit Burger & Grill.
One of the best places to people watch would be the Blvd & they have cute antique shops as well.

Who else deserves some credit and recognition?
My father is a videographer, which allowed me to experience the joys of cameras, editing, and video production from an early age. In elementary school, I served as the student council historian, where I had the opportunity to capture the school yearbook photos. Later, my mother encouraged me to enroll in college photography classes during high school, and I earned my Associate Degree in Commercial Photography in 2022. With the tools, experience, and support I received, I was well-prepared to pursue a career in professional photography.
