Hi Penneylope, we’d love to hear more about how you thought about starting your own business?
For years, I struggled under the rigid rules of salon owners, torn between delivering the best for my clients and following someone else’s vision. Then, I discovered booth rental, and it was freeing. It opened up a world of possibilities, surrounding me with a vibrant community of creative stylists and estheticians. Now, I have the freedom to choose the products and equipment that align with my values, fueling my passion and enhancing the service I provide. Embracing booth rental has transformed my journey, reigniting my love for my craft and empowering me to steer my career with boundless creativity.

Can you open up a bit about your work and career? We’re big fans and we’d love for our community to learn more about your work.
I feel like I’m the epitome of hairstyling excellence, nestled within the renowned Joseph Lamar Salon in Burbank. As a Master Hairstylist and color specialist, I bring a wealth of creativity and expertise to each client, transforming hair into a canvas of vibrant and personalized artistry. Beyond the salon, I’m a passionate Brand Educator for Joico, sharing my knowledge and innovative techniques with fellow hair professionals. I believe in the power of education and artistry to elevate the world of hair, one strand at a time.

Let’s say your best friend was visiting the area and you wanted to show them the best time ever. Where would you take them? Give us a little itinerary – say it was a week long trip, where would you eat, drink, visit, hang out, etc.
My favorite restaurants in Burbank are for breakfast I’d BB Cafe Burbank on Buena Vista and Burbank Blvd. Dinner is Via Selfie Fusion Kitchen on Alameda and for a great glass of wine is Urban Press Winery in Downtown Burbank. You have to do the tour of Warner Brothers Studio in Burbank.

Shoutout is all about shouting out others who you feel deserve additional recognition and exposure. Who would you like to shoutout?
Many individuals have been guiding stars in my career, but my incredible mother stands at the heart of it all, as my unwavering pillar of strength and biggest cheerleader. Her belief in me has propelled me to heights I once thought unattainable. Equally transformative is my son, whose presence inspires me to transcend boundaries and chase my dreams with fervor.

I am also deeply grateful to my fellow hair stylists, whose creativity and support have illuminated my path. Their camaraderie has woven the tapestry of my professional life.

These amazing people have been my compass, guiding me through my journey and showing me that with passion, persistence, and support, any dream can become reality.
