Meet Fernanda Fell | Communication Strategist

We had the good fortune of connecting with Fernanda Fell and we’ve shared our conversation below.
Hi Fernanda, is there a quote or affirmation that’s meaningful to you?
“Success isn’t about how your life looks to others. It’s about how it feels to you.” — America Ferrera
This quote deeply resonates with me, especially as a foreign professional rebuilding my career in a new country. For many of us, success doesn’t follow a linear trajectory. It often requires learning how to tell our stories in a different way—adapting to new cultural and professional landscapes while staying true to our identities. These shifts might not look like conventional milestones to others, but each step forward feels like a victory.
This quote reminds me that success isn’t measured by external validation or comparisons but by the fulfillment and growth we experience along the way. It’s about recognizing the courage it takes to navigate uncharted paths and appreciating the unique journey we each embark on, no matter how unconventional it may seem.

Let’s talk shop? Tell us more about your career, what can you share with our community?
I believe what sets me apart is my dedication to ensuring that everyone has access to information. I see my work as that of a “simplifier.” If I’m working on a story, it has to be easy to follow. If I’m crafting a strategy, it must be simple to implement. When a new platform emerges in the market, my goal is to translate it in a way that is digestible so that everyone feels empowered to be part of it.
I believe in the transformative power of information and that every brand—no matter its size—deserves a space in the digital world. I’m particularly passionate about helping Latin women entrepreneurs and small businesses. It brings me immense pride to support them in establishing an online presence and building brands that align with their values. Helping small businesses feel like they belong, preserving their unique identities, and equipping them to tell their stories in a way that impacts their communities is what excites me the most.
My journey hasn’t always been easy, but the lessons I’ve learned have shaped my approach to my work. I’ve learned that success is not about complexity but clarity. It’s about meeting people where they are, simplifying the overwhelming, and empowering them to move forward with confidence. My story is rooted in the belief that with the right tools and guidance, anyone—especially women carving out their path—can thrive in the digital world. That’s the mission I carry forward every day.

Any places to eat or things to do that you can share with our readers? If they have a friend visiting town, what are some spots they could take them to?
If my best friend were visiting, I’d create a week-long itinerary that combines the best of LA’s food, nature, culture, and nightlife.
Day 1:
We’d kick things off with breakfast at Porto’s Bakery to enjoy their famous pastries—guava strudel and cheese rolls are a must-try. Then, we’d spend the afternoon hiking in Palos Verdes, where the scenic trails offer breathtaking ocean views. For dinner, we’d head to Manhattan Beach for fresh seafood at The Strand House, followed by sunset-watching along the pier.
Day 2:
A beach day is essential! We’d spend it playing beach volleyball in Hermosa Beach and cooling off with acai bowls from Paradise Bowls. In the evening, we’d head to Mama Shelter in Hollywood for rooftop cocktails and great vibes.
Day 3:
Time for some culture! We’d visit the Getty Museum, where art and architecture meet with stunning city views. For lunch, I’d take them to Grand Central Market for a mix of cuisines. Then, we’d explore The Last Bookstore in downtown LA before dinner at Bestia, a culinary gem known for its incredible Italian cuisine.
Day 4:
We’d explore Venice Beach, walking the boardwalk and checking out the local street art. For lunch, Gjusta would be perfect for its laid-back vibe and delicious sandwiches. The evening would be reserved for a comedy show at The Hollywood Improv or The Comedy Store—a classic LA experience.
Day 5:
A road trip day! We’d drive up the coast to Malibu and visit El Matador State Beach for its unique rock formations and quiet charm. For lunch, we’d stop at Malibu Farm on the pier for fresh, farm-to-table dishes.
Day 6:
We’d spend the day immersed in art, visiting The Broad Museum or LACMA. For dinner, we’d head to Bossa Nova, a cozy spot offering delicious Brazilian dishes, perfect for a flavorful and relaxed evening.
Day 7:
For the final day, we’d keep it chill—start with coffee at Blue Bottle and a stroll through The Huntington Gardens, soaking in the beauty of nature. To end the trip, we’d head to Griffith Observatory for a classic LA view of the skyline and sunset.

Who else deserves some credit and recognition?
My family.
I am a first-generation member of my family with access to education. My family had to sell far too many flowers to provide me with that opportunity. Their sacrifices are the foundation of my journey, and I am deeply grateful for them. I am able to take the risks I take because I know that no matter what, I will always have a place to return to—a home built on love, resilience, and unwavering support.
