We had the good fortune of connecting with Annette Miller and we’ve shared our conversation below.

Hi Annette, what was your thought process behind starting your own business?
I didn’t start with a grand business plan—I started with a message. I wanted women over 50 to see themselves represented, celebrated, and truly seen—not through society’s limited view of aging, but in a way that challenges outdated beliefs and reflects the vibrant reality of this chapter of life.

After years in healthcare management, I began sharing content that mirrors the journey I’m on—stepping outside my comfort zone, leaning into positivity, self-love, and kindness, and exploring lifestyle inspiration through things like fashion, everyday moments, and travel. It’s all part of how I’m learning to live more fully in this chapter of life.

Over time, I realized that what I was doing had the power to uplift and encourage others. Now I partner with brands that align with my values, and I create user generated content that tells authentic, relatable stories—whether I’m highlighting a product, a service, or sharing inspiration for women navigating life after 50.

Alright, so let’s move onto what keeps you busy professionally?
I never set out to become an influencer or user generated content creator—I simply had a message I felt needed to be shared. I wanted women around my age to feel seen, celebrated, and empowered to rethink what aging looks and feels like. That’s how Living Fully After 50 began.

What sets my work apart is that it’s rooted in real life. I don’t pretend to have it all figured out. I share from the heart—whether it’s about aging, self-doubt, style, or stepping outside my comfort zone. The most rewarding part has been building a community of women who connect with that honesty and remind each other that this chapter of life can be vibrant, fun, and full of possibility.

The journey hasn’t always been easy—putting yourself out there at any age can feel vulnerable. But I’ve learned that growth happens when you stop waiting to feel ready and start showing up anyway. My hope is that my content inspires women to do just that: show up, take a chance on themselves, and live fully—no matter their age.

If you had a friend visiting you, what are some of the local spots you’d want to take them around to?
If I have friends visiting Southern California, we’d definitely start at the beach—because that’s where I feel most at home. I grew up spending time at Redondo Beach, and as a teenager, weekends were all about Hermosa Beach—laying out in the sun or roller skating along the path. Now, my husband and I (with our dog in tow!) love taking weekend drives down Pacific Coast Highway. There’s something so relaxing and beautiful about it.

For a fun beach tour, I’d take them to some of my favorites:

* Hermosa Beach for nostalgia and people-watching,
* Seal Beach for its charming small-town vibe,
* Huntington Beach for a walk on the pier and watching surfers do their thing,
* and Laguna Beach to take in those breathtaking cliffside views.

We’d grab tacos and margaritas at La Capilla—either in La Palma or Torrance. It’s one of my favorite spots for authentic Mexican food. For coffee runs, I’d introduce them to my recent obsession: Vietnamese coffee. BLK Dot Coffee in Long Beach or 7 Leaves Café (In LA and OC) are both musts.

Of course, we’d set aside a day for classic LA! I love the history and character of Hollywood and Beverly Hills. We’d stop by Pink’s Hot Dogs, stroll the Hollywood Walk of Fame, and cruise through Rodeo Drive just to soak up that iconic old-Hollywood glam. If the timing was right, I’d try to catch a concert at the Hollywood Bowl—it’s one of my favorite venues.
It would be a mix of SoCal beach days, great food, and a little nostalgia.

Shoutout is all about shouting out others who you feel deserve additional recognition and exposure. Who would you like to shoutout?
My shoutout goes to my wonderful family for all their support and to the incredible women I’ve connected with along the way—women who share the same values around positive aging, kindness, and self-love. Their stories inspire me daily. It’s a privilege to be part of a space where we lift each other up, celebrate one another, and remind each other that life after 50 is full of opportunity—especially when we give ourselves permission to grow, explore, and try something new.
