We had the good fortune of connecting with the owners of Rumble Boxing (Mike & Chrystine Dimaguila and Arvey & Puja Guihama).

Hi Mike & Arvey, what was your thought process behind starting your own business?
The idea to start our own business came from a shared passion among four friends for health, wellness, and creating experiences that bring people together. We wanted to build something that reflected our energy, enthusiasm, and belief that fitness should be fun, accessible, and inspiring. When we discovered Rumble Boxing, we knew it was the perfect fit – a fresh, energetic brand that aligned with our vision. It wasn’t just about opening a gym; it was about creating a community where people could feel empowered, challenged, and part of something exciting from day one.

Can you open up a bit about your work and career? We’re big fans and we’d love for our community to learn more about your work.
We’re passionate about creating something that combines our personal values with a vision for community and possibility. Michael has been working in healthcare for nearly 20 years, focusing on improving lives and building systems that truly make a difference. Arvey has spent the same amount of time in technology, navigating a constantly evolving field and solving complex problems.

Balancing our full-time careers with building our business has been a continual learning process. Work-life balance is a priority for us, and it’s a challenge we approach intentionally every day. What drives us is not just personal ambition—it’s our kids. We want to show them that anything is possible and that action speaks louder than words.

We’re most proud of creating a space that reflects our values: community, energy, and opportunity. Our story is a reminder that hard work, collaboration, and passion can turn an idea into something meaningful, even while balancing demanding careers. At the heart of it, we want the world to know that our brand isn’t just about business—it’s about building something bigger than ourselves and inspiring the next generation.

Let’s say your best friend was visiting the area and you wanted to show them the best time ever. Where would you take them? Give us a little itinerary – say it was a week long trip, where would you eat, drink, visit, hang out, etc.
If my best friend was visiting the area, the first stop would always be In-N-Out – it’s a must for anyone experiencing LA for the first time! From there, it really depends on how much time we have. For a week-long LA trip, we’d hit a mix of classic and off-the-beaten-path spots: hiking in Runyon Canyon, checking out the arts and culture in Downtown LA, strolling through Santa Monica and Venice Beach, and enjoying the food scene – from casual taco spots to some of the city’s best new restaurants.

If it was a short weekend trip, we’d definitely consider a quick getaway to Vegas for the shows, nightlife, and entertainment, or San Diego to enjoy the beaches, craft breweries, and laid-back vibe. No matter where we go, the plan is always a mix of great food, unique experiences, and making the most of the incredible weather and energy the West Coast has to offer.

Shoutout is all about shouting out others who you feel deserve additional recognition and exposure. Who would you like to shoutout?
Absolutely! I want to give a huge shoutout to the city of Pasadena for welcoming us with open arms and embracing what we’re building. A massive thank you also goes to our amazing team – from our trainers to our front desk staff – who show up every day to create a community that’s supportive, energetic, and fun. And most importantly, Puja and Chrystine for being the backbone of Rumble Boxing and the visionaries. We are a very fortunate team! They were the ones who turned this dream into something truly special. This journey wouldn’t be possible without all of you!
