Hi Anna, we’d love to hear more about how you thought about starting your own business?
Honestly? It started way before nursing. Growing up, I wanted to be an artist, I was drawn to beauty, to creating things, to the way aesthetics could make people feel something. When my family immigrated, that dream got set aside for something more “practical,” and I found my way into nursing. But what I discovered was that nursing gave me something even better, a deep understanding of the human body and a genuine love for caring for people.

Dermaluxe was born when I realized I didn’t have to choose between art and medicine. Aesthetic medicine is where those two worlds meet. Every treatment I do is both clinical and creative. And more than anything, I wanted a space where patients feel truly seen , not rushed, not oversold, just taken care of. That’s what Dermaluxe is.

What should our readers know about your business?
Dermaluxe by Anna is a medical aesthetic practice built on one simple belief: you should look like yourself, just refreshed and more confident. No frozen faces, no overdone results. Just natural, beautiful work done with care.

What sets us apart is the combination of clinical expertise and a genuine personal touch. I’m a registered nurse and I approach every patient as both a clinician and a creative. I specialize in treatments like PRFM, which uses your body’s own growth factors to restore and rejuvenate naturally. It’s the kind of work I’m truly excited about because it works with your biology, not against it.

Getting here wasn’t easy. I built this from scratch while raising three kids, with a husband who runs his own business. There were moments of doubt, moments of exhaustion, moments where I wondered if the timing was right. But I kept coming back to my patients and what they felt when they left my chair. That was always enough to keep going.

The biggest lesson I’ve learned is that trust is everything in this industry. People are incredibly vulnerable when they sit down with me. I never take that lightly. I’d rather underpromise and overdeliver than chase a trend that doesn’t serve my patients.

What I want the world to know about Dermaluxe is that this is a place where you are heard, respected, and cared for. Whether you’re brand new to aesthetics or a longtime patient, you will never feel pressured. You’ll just feel like yourself again, only better.​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​

If you had a friend visiting you, what are some of the local spots you’d want to take them around to?
Oh this is my favorite question! If my best friend was visiting, first things first, we are waking up and heading to a Lagree Pilates class because that is just non-negotiable for us. There is nothing like starting your day on the megaformer feeling strong and accomplished. After that we have obviously earned our brunch!

Then we are driving out to Malibu because honestly nothing resets your soul like the Pacific Coast Highway with the windows down. We would find the cutest spot to eat with an ocean view, walk along the beach, maybe pop into some little shops. No agenda, just good food, good conversation and that Malibu magic.

It is really the simple things. Movement, good food, fresh air and great company. That is my perfect LA day and I never get tired of it.​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​

Who else deserves some credit and recognition?
My shoutout goes to a few people who made this possible. First, my mom and grandmother, who showed me what strength and grace look like long before I had words for it. The values they passed down are the foundation of everything I’ve built.

My husband Roman, who has never once made me feel like my dreams were too big. He believed in Dermaluxe before I had the courage to say it out loud, and he shows up for me every single day.

And my patients, the ones who trusted me first, before I had a long track record or a big following. That trust is something I carry into every single treatment. You gave me a reason to keep going, and I don’t take that lightly.
