Meet Jasmine Royce | Integrative Wellness Practioner

We had the good fortune of connecting with Jasmine Royce and we’ve shared our conversation below.
Hi Jasmine, can you talk to us a bit about the social impact of your business?
When you enter this world, you carry within you an innate awareness, a set of gifts, some known, some yet to be discovered. I was driven and motivated, often even more so when circumstances or people suggested I could not succeed. Hurdles and barriers, difficulties and upsets, triggers and moments of self doubt, these are all doors that open and close along the way. What you take from each one is a deeper inner knowing of who you truly are.
For much of my life, I explored the world around me through a career in media, while quietly doing the deeper work of understanding the world within. What I came to see is something our culture rarely teaches us directly, that your life is a reflection of your inner healing. The health of your thoughts mirrors the health of your body, your relationships, and your purpose. As the Buddhists remind us, nature is our church, and how we see the beauty and wonder in the world reflects how deeply we see and value ourselves.
Like the journey in “The Alchemist” by Paulo Coelho, my path took me far and wide only to bring me home, home to my gifts, my calling, and my truth. That turning point became the foundation for everything I now do.
Which is why both of my brands exist to serve that same awakening in others. Tranquility Magazine is a completely free platform, a podcast, radio show, YouTube channel, and media space, built so that wellness, wisdom, and healing are accessible to anyone, regardless of where they are in their journey. Healing with Jasmine is the deeper invitation, a space where women, particularly those navigating midlife transformation, can work with me directly as an integrative wellness mentor and healer. Because every woman deserves a guide who helps her find her way back to herself.

Can you give our readers an introduction to your business? Maybe you can share a bit about what you do and what sets you apart from others?
For most of my life, I was focused on building a career in media, storytelling, and communication, always moving forward, and striving for more. What I did not fully realize at the time was that some of the most defining moments of my life would come through hardship, healing, and learning how to rebuild myself from the inside out.
On February 29th, 2020, Leap Day, my life changed forever. I was struck by a car while walking and found unconscious in the street. I was rushed to UCLA Health, where I was placed into a coma for nearly two months. I underwent a craniotomy, suffered a broken leg, and doctors warned my loved ones that if I survived, I might never return cognitively as the same person.
When I finally woke up, the world itself had changed. During my coma, the pandemic had begun, and the country had entered lockdown. I contracted what was believed to be pneumonia at the time, which we now understand was part of the first wave of COVID. I was heavily medicated, traumatized, and struggling with severe PTSD, depression, and cognitive impairment. Simple things I had done my entire life suddenly felt impossible. I had to relearn how to use a computer, how to organize my thoughts, and even how to trust myself again. It took me more than seven months just to comfortably navigate a screen.
But somewhere inside all of that pain was a deeper question calling me forward, what am I truly here for?
So, I returned to my roots. My father is a horticulturist, and I grew up around gardens, plants, and the quiet wisdom of nature. After the accident, I lost my sense of taste for a period of time, and when it slowly returned, something profound shifted in me. Processed foods no longer tasted right. My body craved what came from the earth, the kinds of fresh foods my father and stepmother had always grown in their garden. That experience became a symbolic awakening for me, a realization that healing often asks us to return to what is natural, grounded, and real.
I began again by deeply studying and working with naturopathy and integrative healing, expanding my background in wellness and mental health through herbalism, Ayurveda, Chinese medicine, mindfulness, Reiki, energy healing, and physical therapy practices. I came to believe even more strongly that food, nature, emotional healing, and nervous system support are profoundly connected. Naturopathic philosophy teaches that the body has an innate ability to heal when properly supported, and I saw that truth unfold within my own recovery. “Vis medicatrix naturae: The healing power of nature.”
Rebuilding myself was not graceful or easy. It took me more than 75 attempts just to record the first episode of my podcast. After a lifetime working in media, I suddenly had to learn how to express my own vulnerability out loud. That became one of the hardest and most transformative experiences of my life.
What emerged from that rebuilding became both Tranquility Magazine and Healing with Jasmine, two extensions of one mission. Tranquility Magazine is a free platform, podcast, radio show, YouTube channel, and wellness media space dedicated to making healing conversations accessible to everyone. Through interviews with inspiring voices in wellness, spirituality, mental health, and human transformation, I wanted to create a place where people felt seen, supported, and less alone.
Healing with Jasmine became the more personal extension of that work, where I mentor and guide women through life transitions, emotional healing, burnout, identity shifts, and rediscovering themselves after hardship. Because I know firsthand what it feels like to lose everything familiar and still find the strength to rebuild.
What I want people to know is this, your greatest breakdown does not have to be the end of your story. Sometimes it becomes the doorway to your deepest purpose. I am living proof that healing is possible, that resilience can be rebuilt, and that even after unimaginable loss, you can create a life filled with abundance, wellness, meaning, and longevity. And if I could find my way back to myself after all of that, I truly believe others can too.

Any places to eat or things to do that you can share with our readers? If they have a friend visiting town, what are some spots they could take them to?
That is hard to say because it really depends on what my friend would want to do. Los Angeles has been home to me for such a long time, and being a California native, I have seen restaurants and experiences come and go. Still, there are a few places I continue to love because they have stayed consistently special over the years.
Most of my friends usually come into town for a special occasion, so I am always up for planning a birthday celebration or a seasonal adventure. For a quieter evening and meaningful catch up, I love Capo. It has been around for a long time and has some of the best Italian food in the area.
If we were going for more of a summer party atmosphere, I would probably take them to Level 8. It has an incredible city view, a fun nightlife energy, and great food, which makes it perfect for a lively evening out.
For something more elegant, like Mother’s Day or a celebratory brunch, I would book high tea at The Langham Huntington, Pasadena. The atmosphere is beautiful, upscale, and calm, while still feeling warm and inviting. It is one of those places where you can truly relax, feel inspired, and enjoy a timeless dining experience.
Going out has become more intentional for me over the years. Since I work in naturopathy and wellness, I really value restaurants that offer thoughtful food and an environment that leaves you feeling uplifted and nourished. Great food, great conversation, and not having dishes to clean afterward is always a plus, especially since I have hosted many gatherings over the years.
For sightseeing, I love experiences that allow people to slow down and reconnect. Since it is summer, I would absolutely take them to The Huntington Library, Art Museum, and Botanical Gardens for the gardens and museums. Their summer nights are always beautiful. I also love the jazz nights at LACMA, where you can bring a picnic, enjoy the warm evening air, and experience such an uplifting community atmosphere. I am especially excited to explore their newly opened wing and see the architecture in person.
Another favorite is The Skirball Cultural Center for their free music nights. I love how globally inspired their programming is, bringing together artists from so many different cultures, genres, and musical traditions.
For a beach day, especially after the fires changed so many of the places I once loved, I would probably drive down to Newport Beach. I love the coastal walk at Corona del Mar State Beach, followed by lunch at The Beachcomber at Crystal Cove. It is one of those beautiful California experiences that feels peaceful, grounding, and restorative.
There are always new and inspiring places to discover in Los Angeles, and I think that is part of what makes living here so special. Sometimes a staycation or a new adventure with friends reminds you to fall in love with the city all over again. We work so hard and pay so much to live in California, and I think it is important to truly take the time to appreciate and enjoy it.

The Shoutout series is all about recognizing that our success and where we are in life is at least somewhat thanks to the efforts, support, mentorship, love and encouragement of others. So is there someone that you want to dedicate your shoutout to?
This world is full of many amazing people who have shined light upon my path. Even those who cast more shadow than light taught me some of the most valuable lessons I needed to develop and polish to become who I am today.
I want to thank each and every one of you for your powerful moments of truth. Especially those who have been here for the full length of my journey, and those who were like a leaf or a twig that broke along the way but were still an essential part of my growth. I am deeply grateful for each and every encounter. As a storm will break some branches and loosen others, those that remain become your roots of strength and stability.
