Meet Estella Altman

We had the good fortune of connecting with Estella Altman and we’ve shared our conversation below.
Hi Estella, what was your thought process behind starting your own business?
Honestly, I don’t think I started my business from some big master plan. It came from hitting a point in life where I realized I needed more freedom, more purpose, and more control over my future. After going through some major life shifts, I started realizing how many women were emotionally strong but still financially unprepared. I wanted to build something that genuinely helped women feel more confident, informed, and secure in their lives.

What should our readers know about your business?
My business is really rooted in helping women feel empowered both emotionally and financially. A lot of women are taught how to survive emotionally, but not necessarily how to protect themselves financially or prepare for the future. That gap became very personal to me after going through major life changes, loss, health challenges, and rebuilding different areas of my life from the ground up.
What sets me apart is that I don’t approach empowerment from just one angle. I believe confidence, healing, financial awareness, and protection all go hand in hand. My platforms are built to help women feel more informed, prepared, and in control of their lives without shame or intimidation around money or starting over.
Getting to where I am today definitely was not easy. I spent years working my way up in corporate leadership while raising my children and navigating some really difficult seasons personally. Eventually, I realized I wanted to build something more aligned with purpose and freedom. Starting over in the online space came with a lot of uncertainty, learning curves, and moments where I doubted myself, but I kept going.
One of the biggest lessons I’ve learned is that growth rarely comes from feeling fully ready. Most of the time, you build confidence by taking action before you have everything figured out. I’ve also learned how important it is for women to have real conversations around financial literacy, protection, and long term stability.
More than anything, I want people to know that my brand is about helping women realize they are capable of rebuilding, evolving, and creating security for themselves no matter where they’re starting from.

Any places to eat or things to do that you can share with our readers? If they have a friend visiting town, what are some spots they could take them to?
Honestly, I’d probably give them a mix of the real LA experience, not just the tourist version. I love places that feel beautiful, inspiring, relaxing, and a little elevated without feeling overly flashy.
We’d definitely do a beach day in Malibu or Palos Verdes, grab coffee near the ocean, and spend time somewhere with a good sunset view because I’m big on peaceful environments and good energy. I’d probably take them to places like Manhattan Beach for dinner, Beverly Hills or The Grove for shopping and people watching, and a nice rooftop spot in LA at night for the vibe and city views.
Food-wise, I love a mix of casual and aesthetic spots. Sushi, good Italian food, brunch places with great ambiance, and hidden little cafes always win for me. I also love places that feel creative and motivating, whether that’s walking through a beautiful hotel lobby, visiting luxury neighborhoods, or even just having deep conversations during long drives through the city.
I think one of the best parts of LA is that you can experience completely different energies depending on where you are. You can go from beach towns, to fast paced city life, to peaceful scenic areas all in one day. That balance of ambition, creativity, beauty, and reinvention is honestly part of what I love most about living here.

Shoutout is all about shouting out others who you feel deserve additional recognition and exposure. Who would you like to shoutout?
Honestly, I’d dedicate a lot of my journey to the women in my life who showed me both strength and survival, especially my mother. Losing her changed the way I saw life, responsibility, and resilience. I also give credit to every mentor, book, life experience, and hard season that forced me to grow. Some of my greatest lessons didn’t come from easy moments, they came from rebuilding during the hardest ones. And of course, my children have been one of my biggest motivations to keep evolving, healing, and creating something meaningful.
