Meet Telsha Classen | Creative Entrepreneur

We had the good fortune of connecting with Telsha Classen and we’ve shared our conversation below.
Hi Telsha, what do you think makes you most happy? Why?
What makes me happiest is time — having the time to truly live life in the ways that fill my cup. Time with the people I love most, creating memories, being present, and appreciating the moments that matter most.
I also find so much happiness in creativity. Designing and creating allows me to express myself in a meaningful way, and being able to turn that creativity into something tangible through my work is incredibly fulfilling. There’s something special about building something from the heart and sharing that passion with others.

Can you open up a bit about your work and career? We’re big fans and we’d love for our community to learn more about your work.
From my earliest memories, I have been an artist and creator. My parents would marvel as I sketched, astonished by the authenticity of my talent. Yet, like many, I ventured into the corporate world, setting aside my creativity for the hustle. I thrived but felt the pull back to my artistic roots after the economic shifts in 2007, which led me to entrepreneurship.
Longing for a creative spark, I pursued an Aesthetics license and built a clinical aesthetics practice that became my passion for 16 years—a chapter I’ll always cherish. In 2014, life shifted again when I became a mother. This new role awakened a love and purpose I had never known. Owning my practice allowed me to balance career and motherhood—a gift I treasure.
By 2022, raising my little in an unpredictable world shaped my perspective on resilience, creativity, and the importance of meaningful work. I became increasingly frustrated with the wastefulness of fast fashion and the lack of quality in overpriced jewelry from popular brands. Too often, pieces that looked beautiful at first glance would tarnish or fall apart, leaving behind disappointment and unnecessary waste.
This sparked the vision for Nomie—a brand deeply rooted in Truth and Transparency. I set out to create jewelry that stands the test of time, both in quality and style. Each piece is thoughtfully designed to be more than just an accessory; it’s a companion to life’s adventures, crafted with intention and care. My mission was clear: to make durable, timeless jewelry accessible without sacrificing affordability or ethical sourcing.
Nomie is not just a brand; it’s a reflection of my values and a promise to offer meaningful, lasting pieces to customers who deserve nothing less.
My daughter inspires every step of this journey. She’s my business partner, boss, and best collaborator. Together, we design and create, blending passion and purpose while making memories that will last a lifetime.
It’s never too late to chase dreams, and it’s never too early to teach valuable lessons. Through Nomie, I aim to inspire my daughter to follow her path and live with joy and authenticity.
Nomie is our labor of love, shared with you—pieces designed to last, tell stories, and bring happiness.

If you had a friend visiting you, what are some of the local spots you’d want to take them around to?
If one of my best friends was visiting for a week, the itinerary would definitely revolve around good food, beautiful scenery, and experiences that feel memorable and meaningful. I’ll admit it — I absolutely love Disneyland. It’s always been a special place for my daughter and me, and there’s something nostalgic and magical about it that never gets old.
Beyond that, I’m happiest anywhere near the ocean. Some of my favorite days are the simplest ones — grabbing coffee…or a mimosa, walking along the beach, watching the sunset, and ending the night with an incredible dinner. For anyone who knows me, food is truly the way to my heart. I love discovering restaurants with amazing ambiance, whether it’s a fancy dining experience or a hidden hole-in-the-wall spot with the best food you’ve ever had… finding those little places that make you feel like you’ve stumbled onto something special. To me, the best experiences are less about extravagance and more about connection — good conversations, beautiful surroundings, laughter, and creating memories with the people you love.

Who else deserves some credit and recognition?
I’m incredibly grateful for the people who have supported and encouraged me throughout this journey. A very special thank you to my husband, Matthias Classen, for always believing in me, supporting my vision, and helping bring this dream to life. To my sweet daughter, Sophia, thank you for being both my inspiration and my little encourager, always happily working alongside me.
I’m also deeply thankful for my parents, Vicki and Steve, and my Aunt Linda for their constant love and support over the years. And most especially, my Grammy Sugarplum, who has believed in everything I’ve ever done. Her unwavering encouragement has meant more to me than words can express.
