Meet Magnus Christoffersen: Artist

We had the good fortune of connecting with Magnus Christoffersen and we’ve shared our conversation below.
Hi Magnus, we’d love for you to start things off by telling us something about your industry that we and others not in the industry might be unaware of?
As a dancer, I think the one thing most people are not aware of is the amount of work and dedication it takes for a ballet dancer to get to a professional level. Many years of training and dedication go into the preparation. There are many mental obstacles dancers have tackle such as being relaxed and present under pressure when on stage. The pay off is the ability to create beauty with one’s own body to music and captivate an audience’s focus in ways that can’t be described with words. A beautiful ballet performance is like magic.

Let’s talk shop? Tell us more about your career, what can you share with our community?

Shoutout is all about shouting out others who you feel deserve additional recognition and exposure. Who would you like to shoutout?
Tigran Sargsyan and Kirsten Bloom Allen have both been my two dance collaboratives since the pandemic started. We have shared over 170 live streams and performed across America on multiple news channels and talk shows, including Good Morning America. They have been my two best friends during this difficult time and I am proud of the work we have accomplished together. We are bringing ballet more relatable to mainstream audiences through our live streams and global media coverage. Along with dancing we have merged into cinema and shot a short film together. “Covid Rockin” which a satirical look at a day in the life during Covid.
