We had the good fortune of connecting with Miss Reds and we’ve shared our conversation below.

Hi Miss, is there a quote or affirmation that’s meaningful to you?
Absolutely, it’s a motto I live by and frequently say … “Graffiti has no gender”. Being that I am a woman in a male dominated scene, and I’ve been able to master the craft, I constantly get “compliments” like – “wow you’re pretty good for a girl”. How about let’s try, I’m good because I’m good.. I’ve worked hard to get to where I am today to have my name and work recognized in the scene. Ones talent shouldn’t be based on gender.

Let’s talk shop? Tell us more about your career, what can you share with our community?
It definitely hasn’t been an easy journey. I cancelled out all the negativity and made sure to prove myself to them and myself. It’s about having thick skin. I’m always trying to come up with new and different ideas for merchandise. If I see the majority of graffiti artists are all releasing the same type of item, I’m always thinking ahead to set me a part on what I can release thats different. Which it’s been recognized by many and they acknowledge how creative I am for thinking outside the box.

Any places to eat or things to do that you can share with our readers? If they have a friend visiting town, what are some spots they could take them to?
We would head to Wynwood. It is basically the new South Beach. There’s always something to do and look at. Wynwood is considered like the art capital of the states. New murals going up all the time. Lots of galleries. Tons of delicious restaurants. There’s plenty of cool bars and lounges to dance. Being in wynwood, I know I will end up bumping into more friends. Someone I know is always in Wynwood Who else deserves some credit and recognition?
Someone who deserves credit, is someone who always believed in me since I first started. We all call him E, owner of 004CONNEC in Miami FLorida. I’ve been purchasing spray paint from him since I began, and he’s seen me evolve into the artist I am today. Always encouraged me and believed in me when a lot didn’t or would even humiliate me. He is someone I consider family and call my big brother. Thank you E, love you forever man!
