Meet Chrissy Bergeron: Actress & Producer

We had the good fortune of connecting with Chrissy Bergeron and we’ve shared our conversation below.
Hi Chrissy, any advice for those thinking about whether to keep going or to give up?
There were many times I felt judged and wanted to give up. Surrounding myself with positive influences who lift me up, make every moment enjoyable. Life is too short to let adversity hold you back.

Can you open up a bit about your work and career? We’re big fans and we’d love for our community to learn more about your work.
I am an actress and producer based in Los Angeles. I am inspired by complex characters and I recently portrayed Monica, the immigrant mother who gets separated from her young child in the film “Lupita,” (Winner Best Indie Film, Los Angeles Film Festival 2020). I got to tap into my background in comedy improv as the quirky Judy Potwin using wacky ways to keep the peace between her conservative husband, played by Kevin Sorbo, and his progressive father, played by Barry Bostwick in the series “The World According to Billy Potwin.”
Was it easy? If not, how did you overcome the challenges? What are the lessons you’ve learned along the way. What do you want the world to know about you or your brand and story?
What lessons have I learned are too many to mention. I’ve personally learned that when we judge another, it’s because we don’t know their story. I learned that working hard on a goal is rewarding no matter what the outcome is. I believe in teamwork and that without failure there is not growth”. Albert Einstein said it profoundly; “A person who never made a mistake, never tried anything new”. Chrissy continues to embrace challenging acting roles and recently produced “The Stooge” written by Christopher Priest.
Let’s say your best friend was visiting the area and you wanted to show them the best time ever. Where would you take them? Give us a little itinerary – say it was a week long trip, where would you eat, drink, visit, hang out, etc.
I would recommend those visiting Los Angeles on a Sunday to start at Sagebrush Cantina in Calabasas for their unlimited champagne Sunday Brunch. It includes a scrumptious food bar complete with waffles, salads, meats and desserts. After that feast, head over to the coast to the Marvin Braude Bike Trail on the beach for bicycles, roller skates and skateboards. If you like rollercoasters and cotton candy, head to Santa Monica Beach amusement park for concession stands, and areas for views and fishing. Make sure to catch the breathtaking sunset. After dark, Santa Monica 3rd Street Promenade is a must see for restaurants, shops, entertainment and people watching. For those staying in the San Fernando Valley, I recommend a light lunch at Hugo’s Tacos in Studio City, then a walk down Ventura Blvd for some shopping. Close by is the family owned Casa Vega, with hand shaken margaritas and authentic Mexican dishes. After dark take a drive up to Mulholland Drive overlook for a beautiful skyline view.

The Shoutout series is all about recognizing that our success and where we are in life is at least somewhat thanks to the efforts, support, mentorship, love and encouragement of others. So is there someone that you want to dedicate your shoutout to?
After I relocated to Los Angeles, I met another actress with a big smile and even bigger heart. We became friends instantly. She took me under her wing and we shared many memories together. Recently, Catherine was diagnosed with Lynch Syndrome, a genetic mutation found in 1-270 people. She died in February of 2021. I dedicate this shoutout to Catherine Brewton who left this world too early. Rest with the angels dear friend.
