We had the good fortune of connecting with Bo Spencer and we’ve shared our conversation below.
Hi Bo, have there been any changes in how you think about work-life balance?
Balance is important but family should always come first. I learned that with the passing of my grandmother. Work and money come and go. We have a limited and uncertain amount of time as humans. My life is dedicated to building and creating. To experiencing and learning as much as possible. My life is dedicated to love. My goal is to lead with love and good intentions. Im not concerned with money, clout or the accumulation of stuff.
Let’s talk shop? Tell us more about your career, what can you share with our community?
I’ve worked very hard but im also extremely lucky. Im here by the grace of God/the universe and the people I mentioned before. Obviously a lot of ups and downs along the journey, but bottom line im here thanks to love/luck. Grateful.
If you had a friend visiting you, what are some of the local spots you’d want to take them around to?
I don’t go out. I stay at home and in the studio. My life is dedicated to my loved ones and creating.
The Shoutout series is all about recognizing that our success and where we are in life is at least somewhat thanks to the efforts, support, mentorship, love and encouragement of others. So is there someone that you want to dedicate your shoutout to?
My mom. Her unconditional love has made everything possible. I work to honor her and share that love everyday. My Brother, Andre Maurice. He’s an incredible father, musician and recording artist. He’s the next Will Smith or Jamie Foxx. Also my insanely talented brother, Santwon Mccray. He’s a world champion athlete, coach and choreographer. He’s a comedian, actor and hands down one of Hollywoods next superstars. Id be nothing and no where without them. They inspire/motivate me to work, live and love as hard as I can everyday. Im grateful for their presence in my life.
