We had the good fortune of connecting with Brandi Lynn and we’ve shared our conversation below.
Hi Brandi, can you walk us through the thought-process of starting your business?
It all started at my first job after college, at ABC 24 News Station. I met so many celebrities that I told myself that I wanted to work behind the scenes with them and bring them more exposure as their Publicist. Most celebrities live in big cities therefore, I moved to Los Angeles, California. My first client was Naja Hall; Founder of Blended & Black. She believed in me and gave me my first shot at booking her for interviews and much more. The rest is the beginning of Brandi Lynn Public Relation’s history.
What should our readers know about your business?
Brandi Lynn Public Relations helps the community by getting artists, brands and business owners more exposure to the world. Everyone wants to get noticed to a broader audience and I’m the Public Relations firm that can do that for them. Great recommendations to other people as well as the references and endorsements are what keeps Brandi Lynn Public Relations going. Getting my clients off the ground and seeing them become successful with some of my help is one of the most important factors to me. All of my clients, friends and family will tell you that I am very down to Earth and I would not steer them wrong. I always keep it 100% with everyone I meet. Moving to Los Angeles with no family to back me up was the biggest risk of my life and career so far. But it’s where I got my start as a Publicist. Prayer and doing that totally worked for me. Success for me is seeing my clients gain more exposure through interviews, shows, and the media, etc. These things put a smile on my face. Longevity and progression with my clients is success to me. One of the lessons I’ve learned along the way is that taking risk is an all together necessity of being successful.
Any places to eat or things to do that you can share with our readers? If they have a friend visiting town, what are some spots they could take them to?
The week will consist of doing these like eating and Hilltop Coffee and Kitchen and the Boiling Crab. Walking and getting drinks near Venice Beach. We would visit beaches in Los Angeles and most definitely Orange County. Just sight seeing in Los Angeles and Hollywood is fun for anyone coming to LA.
Who else deserves some credit and recognition?
My mother deserves a lot of credit. She has encouraged me throughout my entire life to never give up. Also, the Founder of LilyRoze Acting Studio, Nadia Matthews. She has been an inspiration in my life ever since I can remember. All of the women in my family are entrepreneurs. so shout out to you all. Keep going, We are almost there!
