Desiree

Yes, I do have an affirmation I live by which is “time will tell”. This saying has meant so much to me throughout my life because if you think about it, no matter what, time waits for no one and life flies by so fast. Therefore, valuing the true meaning of time has allowed me to value and prioritize the type of life I’m creating for myself. Over time in my life I’ve realized the importance of working hard to rightfully earn the things I have, as well as the importance of continuing to always learn and grow in any space that I enter. My goal in anything that I pursue is to succeed in being impactful while making a difference in the lives around me. My advise to others is that no matter what happens in life good or bad as long as you continue to work hard and grow time will tell, and the outcome is based on how much work you’re willing to put in for the results you want in life throughout time. “Shoot for the moon. Even if you miss, you’ll land among the stars.” For me, this is such an optimistic, encouraging quote. Doing big things can sometimes feel overwhelming, especially if it’s “new” or a “first” or if it means starting over again.

When I moved out to LA, my heart wanted to pursue music, performance and the arts, but that was too vulnerable for a 23-year old farmkid from Wisconsin. I was fortunate to have another path unfold for me in marketing communications, taking me from agency to agency to VP of Global Publicity at Sony Pictures Entertainment. Talk about landing among the stars, literally!  Read more>>

“Man’s task is to become conscious of the contents that press upward from the unconscious,”

The realm of consciousness is limited by the fleeting nature of vision, whereas the realm of the unconscious is infinite and continuous. Carl Jung said,

” Every man chooses his own destiny.” – James Lee Carranza

This is a phrase my father would always say to me. I often think about this when decisions in life need to be made. I consider this deeply with every step I take, with every mistake I have made. The art of freewill, has a major impact on the path we choose towards our destiny or not. With every choice that is made, it brings us closer to fulfilling our destiny, or moving us further away.
