We reached out to some of our favorite entrepreneurs and asked them to think back and tell us about how they decided to start a business.  Check out their responses below.

Steven Green | Fashion Photographer | Brand Consultant | Brawn Model

I was very hesitant at first. I was in a space where I honestly had very little to no capital to invest in a business. I was unsure if I would have steady clientele, I was I just knew what I wanted to do and what I required. Along with confirmation from God to step out on faith, that was my driving for to start my own business. Read more>>

Jennifer Townhill | Commercial Photographer

Honestly, I never thought I was the kind of person to start my own business. I aways enjoyed working at companies for other people. When I decided to change careers and transition from high tech into photography, it just kind of evolved. Tania Bambridge | Principal/Designer

Whilst working in the corporate fashion apparel industry here in my native SoCal, there was always a desire to be my own boss in some way, shape, or form. I consider myself a highly creative person that must be creative most of my waking hours, and I also consider myself to be a highly organized person with the ability to multi-task and delegate. I am also a risk-taker! Possessing these qualities made it a no-brainer to one day take the leap of faith and go out on my own. I was nervous, anxious, frightened, and doubtful. Read more>>

Tina Hogan Grant | Author

I’ve always loved to write. I guess you could say it’s in my genes. My father was an author. I had the idea for my debut novel “Reckless Beginnings” over twenty-five years ago. It was finally published in 2018. Why did it take so long? The easy answer would be that life simply got in the way but if I dig deeper it was also because of fear. I was afraid to put my work out there for thousands of people to judge. I was afraid of criticism over something I had put my heart and soul into. Sadly many writers experience the same anxieties and never publish their work. Read more>>
