We had the good fortune of connecting with Kiara Chambers and we’ve shared our conversation below.

Hi Kiara, can you talk to us a bit about the social impact of your business?
Pretty Bold Boutique, not just a clothing boutique but a brand and movement! Our mission is to ameliorate the wardrobe of women worldwide with a bold sense of style and self-awareness that promotes personal growth spiritually, mentally and physically. Women all around the world live lives that can be hectic and revolve around helping others. Quite often that leaves little to no time to spend on themselves and that’s where we come in. Our main objective is to make the lives of women as easy as possible. The services that we offer takes the stress off and makes showing up just that sweeter. We have been known for our trendy fashion pieces and styling but earlier this year we expanded our brand with personal shopping and closet cleanses. We understand the struggle of finding just the right outfit for that special occasion or how difficult it can be to create new looks from pieces already in your wardrobe. So, we are going the extra mile for our loyal and new customers alike. A woman’s appearance can be the drive for her success and although we don’t want to promote being superficial, let’s face it if you look good you feel, perform and deliver better. Like that old saying, “dress for success!” A new outfit can change the entire trajectory of a woman’s day. When a woman feels good about herself it shows in her being; her walk is sexier, her speech is calming yet intriguing and her confidence is through the roof. Once that shift occurs it begins to invite positive changes in other areas of her life. Once a woman recognizes herself, she is unstoppable and untouchable. Her self-awareness then leads to her not settling for anything less than what she is worth. Pretty Bold encourages all women to take note of self and let your findings lead you to the promises that God has for you. Our brand will always promote self-awareness, self-love and a fly outfit! We want all you ladies to know that you’re not just buying an outfit or rendering a service, you’re being transformed by the power of God. Our maker is just waiting for you to see yourself the way that He does.

Alright, so for those in our community who might not be familiar with your business, can you tell us more?
Pretty Bold is a faith-based brand that promotes boldness. Which is why bold is apart of our name. Being bold makes a statement and we encourage all of our customers to live out loud with their fashion. The way a person dresses tells a story about that them, how they view themselves and where they’re going. With our fashion sense and expertise, we will help bring out that boldness that’s been hiding within all along. Although we are here to help make the lives of women all around the world easier, being a business owner isn’t always a cake walk. Being a business owner especially in an over saturated field can be discouraging at times. My best advice to myself has been to remain authentic and true to self. I’ve been called to be a help to women, this is my ministry and it is not to be taken lightly. Faith is my only way to stay sane. Even though working for yourself is rewarding, there will be times when things don’t seem clear. Trusting the process along with God’s timing and consistency is pivotal for growth as a business owner and for your business. My advice to new business owners is to not allow setbacks to rob you of your come ups.

Any great local spots you’d like to shoutout?
Ok, let’s say my best friend came in town the weekend of The Taste of Soul, you know for sure we are hitting up that up! The community, food and music would be right up our alley. Knowing my bff, she would like to do all the touristy things like going to Hollywood blvd and taking a thousand selfies on the walk of fame, the wax museum and one of those TMZ tours. Of course we would go to Roscoe’s and get the famous chicken and waffles, but I think that goes without saying. For the grown and sexy nights we would hit up Perch LA and The Sayers Club.

The Shoutout series is all about recognizing that our success and where we are in life is at least somewhat thanks to the efforts, support, mentorship, love and encouragement of others. So is there someone that you want to dedicate your shoutout to?
I would like to thank my sisters in Christ for uplifting me and encouraging me to continue to follow my dreams! Godly community is so important, especially while on a faith walk of running a business. And of course a very special thank you to all of our loyal customers, thank you a 1000x for your support!
