We had the good fortune of connecting with KJ Rose and we’ve shared our conversation below.

Hi KJ, what do you think makes you most happy? Why?
I’m most happy when I’m encouraging artists to rediscover their light and push beyond their comfort zone.

Alright, so let’s move onto what keeps you busy professionally?
I founded “The Rose Effect, LLC”, a Global Stage Consultancy to helps creatives, executives, and artists of all disciplines expand beyond their perceived capacity and provide captivating performances on stage, tv/ film, or the boardroom. My focus is to exponentially increase their levels of Presence, Connectivity, and Personalization to occupy their space – their Stage.. I began my career as a background vocalist performing with artists that include P.Diddy, Carl Thomas, Justin Timberlake, Britney Spears, Janet Jackson and several others. I then sought out solo which was inherent with challenges – entertaining crowds that appeared disinterested, empty auditions and meetings, and the constant rejection. I had to figure out my force in order to overcome these challenges…and mine was persistence and relentlessness. I believe Talent is Subjective but Tenacity and Hard Work is undeniable. I also believe that all of my experiences as an artist and coach have led to experiencing an epic Grammy Award Winning moment with Lil Nas X and Billy Ray Cyrus on the Old Town Road music video…this assured me that my work as an artist development and performance coach truly mattered. I want the world to know that I am passionate about being the solution for performers across the globe – to help them SHOW UP for themselves by applying pressure to those untapped and unresponsive areas that have merely been lying dormant. The Rose Effect’s purpose is to help artists identify their Compelling Force and to Abide in that Force every single day.

Any places to eat or things to do that you can share with our readers? If they have a friend visiting town, what are some spots they could take them to?
My itinerary would include a brunch in Santa Monica, a walk on the beach, a ride to Malibu to watch the sunset and a Rooftop dinner!

Shoutout is all about shouting out others who you feel deserve additional recognition and exposure. Who would you like to shoutout?
I would also like to dedicate my shout out to my Friend and Sorority Sister, Nikaya “ND” Brown Jones. Her strength, courage, and commitment to making sure those around her exponentially flourish is admirable.
