We had the good fortune of connecting with Lizette Gonzalez and we’ve shared our conversation below.
Hi Lizette, is your business focused on helping the community? If so, how?
I think after the pandemic, it was very clear how much Hairstylist are essential to everyone’s life. I become a therapist, friend, childcare, secretary, and creative person during one visit. I take great pride in not only my creative process but also my customer service experience.
Alright, so for those in our community who might not be familiar with your business, can you tell us more?
As a child I always knew I wanted to be a business woman. In high-school I started Cosmetology school and began my career in the beauty industry. I attended two years of Community College with my major in Business. I’ve taken those skills and the experience I’ve had in over fifteen years in the beauty industry to start my career in the education part of beauty. I’ve been very lucky to have reached every goal I’ve had. I’ve pushed myself past the uncomfortable stage so that I can learn and grow. And I wish to help other do the same. My goal in life now and forever is to INSPIRE.
Any great local spots you’d like to shoutout?
Los Angeles happens to be the very best place for food . Id start in downtown LA for breakfast at poppy+rose. Lunch at King taco home of some of the best tacos . Best mojitos at Caña rum bar. Next day we head to whittier . Breakfast at Toast , lunch at Tacos Tijuana dinner at Colonia Publica where a traditional fideo is made more gourmet. Next up is the valley. Breakfast at blu jam Cafe, lunch at Grandville. Dinner and drinks at Firefly.
The Shoutout series is all about recognizing that our success and where we are in life is at least somewhat thanks to the efforts, support, mentorship, love and encouragement of others. So is there someone that you want to dedicate your shoutout to?
I’d love to dedicate this to all my of the females in my life.. I dont have sisters so I have buit very close relationships with girlfriends and cousins. Many have taught me how to be a good friend, a better partner , businesswoman and an overall better person .
