We had the good fortune of connecting with Maritza Orozco and we’ve shared our conversation below.

Hi Maritza, we’d love to hear about how you approach risk and risk-taking.
I would say risk plays a big factor whether in life or career. The choices you make have risk that help you/push you to be the person you are determined to be. Career wise, for me would be my everyday sacrifices I choose to take such as family time, rejections, mindset. They set out to become risks that I repeatedly choose to take to try to achieve greatness.

Alright, so let’s move onto what keeps you busy professionally?
I am proud to say as a Latina women in this vigorous industry I have created a group in where it is not solely of just one person but each other. We all have different challenges and phases and its about truly coming together, in working together, as a team. Where we take the time to listen to one another, learn from each others mistakes in order to grow. Environment matters and when this is created all things become possible, And I feel we have achieved this at Ritz & Associates. Where it reflects on the continuous of our clients repetitive support. Now it definitely has not been easy as I mentioned real estate is a vigorous industry, but in creating this atmosphere when a fall arises its the little things that help to continue to keep going!

Any places to eat or things to do that you can share with our readers? If they have a friend visiting town, what are some spots they could take them to?
Being a LA gal my entire life I truly recommend our hiking trails. We have several, but one of my favorites would be Griffith Park. averaging about 4 miles depending on the entrance you enter in, the views are breathe taking! To end it with a nice brunch at a nearby cozy restaurant also a favorite “HOME” in Los Feliz yum!!

Who else deserves some credit and recognition?
First and foremost our clients, family and friends in believing not only in me but our team! Then I’d love to shoutout my amazing TEAM! Lizzet, Art, Christian, Vanessa, M, Edith, Henrik and more…from playing imperative roles in-taking our clients from point A to Z. To my amazing mentor who has guide me trenmebdously into becoming the successful women I am surely becoming.
